I heard on NFL radio that we had offered him $11M a year during the season and he passed. Ending up getting $8M

I had loyalty to Long. I think the team gave him a fair offer, if not a little too much of an offer. He was a great tackle. WAS. He's now injury riddled in an area of his body that hinders play at his position greatly. As much as I appreciate the time he gave us, we did pay him well, so I see no reason not to wish him well and part on good terms as an organization with him.
