the pats really only have brady. their WRs are average at best. same with their RBs. their 2 TEs are stars but one or the other is usually hurt. And their D is OK but not champ caliber. could this be the year, finally, they take a step down? any other team but the Pats and no one would be expecting greatness from them.

Do ya think Gronk had anything to do with the slow healing of his injury with all his immature fooling around and re-injuring it?

Gotta take care of yourself.

Not sure about the fooling around part, but he was a huge inj concern when he got drafted. Maybe the Pats aren't so smart after all.

What goes up eventually has to come down. The Pats have been up longer then any Team in the NFL. Hopefully they will crash and burn. We had a glimpse into how the Pats react when they lose at the end of their playoff run last season. This might be more fun then watching the Jets crash and burn last season. grinning smiley

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

IDK about that, we'll see though. I was grinning so much last year watching the Jets' pompous asses get beat up and down and failing so bad under that fat waste of air they call a coach I literally bought rounds at the bar.

Also, this would be Gronk's FOURTH surgery on that arm. Supposedly from the little that I read on the subject, he needs to have the plate removed and the area cleaned out and then the plate replaced. I'm not a doctor, but that sounds like he's really going to have issues with that arm going forward.

One CB hits cops and the other (Talib) hits taxi drivers....the chain gang backfield. SMH. Man I hate the Pats!

I've gotta agree. The Pats were down for a long while before they sold their soul to the devil and started cheating/winning. Those were the days, here in Boston. There is nothing more fun than listening to Boston sports talk radio on a Monday morning after a dismal Pats loss and hear the bitching complete with New England accents. "We really fell apAHT in the sekkin HOFF"

May those days return and last for several decades!

Got friends in Boston area I visit frequently. Yeah they use wicked. They also call soda "pop". So when they drive to the game in their "cah" and get "wicked" thirsty they drink a "pop".

The fans do, more than the sports casters, for whatever reason.

Up until about 10-15 years ago, they called soda "tonic" around here , which has roots in the origin of soda altogether. so I had no problem with people calling it that...although there's no way I'd ever do that, being the native Miamian that I am. Can't imagine saying "hey Charlie, I could use a tonic....pass me a Materva!"

Gronk is a very well liked player around here. He's a local spokesman for that sucky but popular and ubiquitous coffee chain Dunkin Donuts...so that automatically makes him a deity.
