No one is saying he doesn't need to improve. Tanny certainly does. But for a guy with such little experience , expected to ride the Pine holding a clip board.........He did amazingly well. He showcased "natural abilities" that you just can't teach .

When all is said an done, he proved himself worthy to everyone , including Irlend, that he was worthy of that high pick in the draft and the dolphins have spent our entire foreseeable future on him to prove it.

That to me says a lot. We haven't thrown the whole gammit at a QB since Marino left. The Dolphins are clearly building an entire rooster BEHIND Ryan Tannihill. His first season was that impressive. Not By stats, but by how much that kid grew during the season. He was playing by the seat of his pants, can you imagine how well he is going to do with a full season of training, and coaching behind him?

Still not convinced? Fair enough. But at least be excited as hell! How can you not be if you really are a True Dolphins fan!?

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

Excited? No, Miami's poor decade plus has made me immune to any of that.

I do, however, want to see what he can do, this year, with weapons around him. He is going to have a lot of speed around him (Wallace, Miller, Hartline). If he doesn't play well, then I guess it's back to the drawing board.

He has a good work ethic which is a must. He is currently working out at the IMG Academy with Weinke AGAIN this year. He was nursing an injury last year when he was there and I guess he wanted to refine some technical issues before camp. Gotta like that.

He has also been working out with Dolphin receivers.

I'm a fan of good stats like the next guy. Hey, who in their right mind as a Miami fan wouldn't love to see Tanneboy go for 35 TD's and 4000 yards? However, I'm more concerned with how many wins he leads the team to. Far too many individuals get immersed in the statistical aspect of the game, attaching them to wins and losses. To a certain degree that perspective can be confirmed and lauded. However, If Tanneboy doesn't go balls out for 400 yards a game yet he manages the game to get into the playoffs I don't care about his QBR. Just win baby! If he puts us in a position to get into the post season, his stats can and will by most, be forgotten.

Agreed, stats mislead.

Look at Danny Boy. Big time stats every year; got his teams to the playoffs the majority of the time, but only to one Super Bowl.
