If we go Rhodes Ansah or OL in round one we could look at Marquise Goodwin in maybe round 3 or 4. I heard Gil Brandt say he tore it up at pro day. Only 5' 9" but 42" vertical!

Ran 4.27 at combine

He looked really good during Senior Bowl week. He ran by guys like they were standing still.

I want to draft Honey Badger in the 3d. Instant PLaymaker. He probably goes in the late 2d

Ricky Williams 2.0.....he can hang out with Lenny Kravitz. Is Miami really the place for a guy with no self control and addictive personality?

Probably not a good career move for Jeff Ireland. You guys slam Ireland every chance you get and now want him to take this man child?..and waste a 3rd round pick? I would rather use that pick to trade up somewhere.

He has been clean for 4 months though.... smoking smiley

risk/reward. if he stays clean I think he becomes one of the best players in this draft. The cost of 1 of our 3d rounders is worth the risk of him toking again. it seems like he's got it under control

after 4 months? thumbs down

risk/reward for me is players like Ziggy Ansah or Dion Jordan....maybe even Cordarrell Patterson or Tavon Austin....Ryan Swope

Weak minded players don't usually do too well in the NFL.

I think guys who have produced at a high level against top competition in college are less risky than workout wonders who didn't do squat in college (ansah, patterson). Tavon Austin isn't a risk, IMO. Ryan Swope risky only due to concussions (I'd rather draft a guy with weed issues at #3 than concussion issues at #2)

I love Austin and would consider him at 12, and I still think we will (a lot of CB & OL depth) but he is somewhat risk at his size

You look at the Maclins, Harvins & Desean Jackson, who are like 20-25 lbs heavier than Austin and they have had health issues

His moves are so quick that that does help somewhat prevent defenders from really zeroing in on him

But every pick has risk . Definitely Ansah & Patterson

Goodwin gives you very close skills and probably available be in the 3rd but teams like Minnesota, St Louis, Houston & NE will be looking to find talent for additional depth and to replace lost players, so they may reach

I would be surprised to see NE, STL & Minnesota take 2 WR in this draft

Both.

He's not going in the 2nd with his baggage, size and in a deep CB draft.

and

I don't think we aren't taking him under any circumstances.

Do up a contract that addresses those issues. If he fails, then Miami is ahead of the game. If he stays clean, he could be very valuable.

He's been getting a lot of good pub lately, so it's very possible he could go a lot earlier than people think (but not in the first).
