Sounds like a waste of money on another injury prone player who wasn't very good to begin with....
Ranked two spots better than Jerry....not good.
I hope it's for short money and no cap ramifications.
This was before last season started...
It’s hard to judge how Louis will fair at right guard because the majority of his playing time has come at tackle. What we do know is tackle definitely wasn’t the position for him. He finished the season with a -20.9 pass block rating, as well as a -13.2 run block rating. PFF

Much, much more athletic. Was a TE until a junior in college. Ran a 4.76 40 at 300 lbs.
Both Chicago newspapers called him a solid player.
This is exactly the type of signing that dolfanmark was talking about when he said to expect more changes. If Louis looks healthy in camp, you can kiss Jerry or Incog goodbye, this guy fits the more athletic type of O-lineman that Philbin wants.
I know that Miami will want to address the o-line and CB positions in the draft, but signing inexpensive veteran players at those positions is a smart move. It's better than wasting big bucks on a "star" free agent who will only be a stop-gap, and they'll still have someone who could be an average starter until the rookies are ready.
I think some of the strategy is to fill glaring needs to help hide what our draft picks will be so teams can't jump us knowing what we are going to take
