Looking good so far SamSam, I am hoping us Miami fans will truly know the meaning of "Rome wasn't built in a day" when this is over and done with. We have suffered for way too long. With names in management that now make me cringe.
I dont think it has anything to do with Philbin... I think money has been our good luck charm so far....All these guys got paid well to sign with us....

I think we overpaid for Wallace and maybe Wheeler... Not sure about Ellerby. Wallace is going to have to be a top 5 WR at least next year to justify a 60 million dollar contract..
Ireland is making me nervous, he is either going to hit it out of the park this year or bury us... Ireland's job is on the line so he is going for it, just not sure how right he is about these moves, only time will tell...

Yes it's about the money but few if any of these guys take our check without the promise that Ryan Tannehill brings and how that impacts the perception of this franchise.

Such a dilema for you Crowder, if it's not Philbin, then Ireland has to get the credit for our financial situation.
Dolph- I defintely give Ireland credit that we are not overwhelmed with bad contracts, like the Jets. We still have alot of holes, and still not sure he didnt overpay for a couple of these guys, only time will tell. But yes our financial situation no being a mess is a positive for Ireland...

The dudes want the buck$ first and foremost -- but is also HELPS having the perception of a good coaching staff and a young and upcoming coitusback.
Beyond that we have the biggest trump card, which is the climate, and a very young team with lots of upside. When you put all that together we should win more than our fair share of recruiting contests.

Oh, I see. We are both using opposite ways of speaking!
To me the number 32 pick in the first round is a "low first round" and the number 2 pick is a "high first round."
You are using it like 12 is a lower number than 13.

I don't think Wallace needs to be a top 5 WR to make this work. Top 5 WRs often play on very unbalanced teams. If he stretches the field, opens up the underneath routes and running lanes, and produces about 1100 to 1200 yards and 8 to 10 TDs then this team will be much improved.
If Wallace opens underneath routes, running lanes AND produces 1200 yards AND 10 TDs then his signing will be a certified HUGE SUCCESS.
But. Right now I'm worried about the OL and the fact we have no starting CBs on the roster. That simple fact could come back to haunt us next September. Just a hunch. Maybe.
