Saw on comment where they said we picked up two of the better blitzing LB's in the league.

I'm ok with getting younger at LB (and faster).

I'm sure Coyle's fingerprints are all over these moves so I'm excited to see what he gets out of these guys.

One thing's for sure..."Operation Big" is no more...

Dansby had 1 sack and Burnett had 2.5 in 2012. 1 FF between them.

Wheeler and Ellerbe had 3.

Not sure about this move but I guess we'll see.

Does Misi stay at SLB?

Ellerbe at MLB and Wheeler at WLB? this is a shocker.

saves money but doesn't seem to be an improvement. LB was not really a position we needed to tweak and I suspect we take a step back just bc they have not played together.
We NEED a CB or 2, an OL, and a TE. I don't want to blow money on positions we are OK without much upgrade.

Ireland is distancing himself from the Parcels prototype. Ellerbe is a 4.63 guy and can't cover? and Wheeler is a 4.76 guy and is playing the weak side?

Maybe it was a scheme thing for Ellerbe in coverage? I hope.

This is a big gamble. We need to draft a LB'er relatively high. Someone with speed and coverage skills so we can put Wheeler on the strong side.

Wheeler graded out better than Burnett in pass coverage and in rushing the passer. Wheeler had twice as many QB disruptions as Burnett did. Wheeler earned a +5.1 grade in coverage, compared to +1.6 for Burnett.

That's a relief.

Didn't expect a LB overhaul

Neither did I, caught me totally off guard. I couldn't wait to get home from work today to get caught up on all the news...Was a bit surprised to see the LB douche that happened.
