Ireland is deviating from his size standards. Dannell Ellerbe is 6'1 236 lbs. Also played in a 3-4 in Baltimore.

Irelan junked those Parcells standards when he hired Philbin and Coyle and went to the West coast offense and the 4-3 defense.

Hi guys....website is locking up for me too (and possibly everyone) due to heavy traffic, per Curt.

I'm looking forward to the day when we have lots of traffic on game days!

The LB centric signing is definitely a bit surprising...

It's good to be getting younger and hopefully more dynamic and/or "aggressive" -- but we're certainly anchoring some bucks in places I didn't expect.

As others have noted -- going into free agency there were numerous positions of need that seemingly exceeded LB -- but I guess we feel we're getting "value" or a significant redesign that will generate more turnovers or impact plays.

But... We have significant needs at OT, TE and CB. It would seem Ireland & staff must feel the draft is deep at those positions and probably plan to find our solutions with:

R1 OT
R2 CB
R2 TE
R3 WR (for depth and development)
R3 best available (target additional OL, TE or CB for depth and development)
R4 best available (target additional OL, TE or CB for depth and development)
R5 best available athlete
R7 best available athlete
R7 best available athlete

Have to take RB. Our backfield is totally unproven

So if it's unproven now, how would taking a rookie make it "proven"?

Finding a gem like Alfred Morris instead of busts like Thomas

Monte ball, Christine Michael , Knile Davis could be targeted

Ah I see, taking a 6th rnd pick and hoping he becomes a stud, makes them "proven"......got it.

I hope they continue been agressive and i still hope they draft a WR early in the draft.

Now we do not need to address the wr and LB position so early but i would nt mind if they do a bit.
