This is a moderated phorum for the CIVILIZED discussion of the Miami Dolphins. In this phorum, there are rules and moderators to make sure you abide by the rules. The moderators for this phorum are JC and Colonel.
I'm a big Gator fan also, you are missing these guys:
Xavier Nixon OT - Great physical talent. Started as a FR unfortunately his game has not changed much since. Don't get me wrong he has a damn good game but if he listens to and takes in his coaching someone is going to get a good tackle. Right now he is projected as 6th round pick.
Josh Evans S - 'The other safety'. Taller and leaner than Elam. I think he is going to pan out. I always noticed that Gator safeties always seemed to be where they should be in 2012.
I've followed the Hurricanes since I was a kid. I know there are a few people on this board in my age range, so I will go ahead and give my age away.
I got really interested in Hurricane football, and football in general, when I saw Miami's QB George Mira firing that ball all over the field. Was hooked ever since.
I did like those Miami - Florida rivalries. Hendricks vs Spurrier.
I dont watch much college just have a great eye for talent. I noticed the Warner kid for FSU jumping off the TV and noticed the Louisville QB jumping out.
Hurricanes. Got into them when I was 10 years old and Bernie Kosar was the QB. Don't follow them as much lately since they are not on TV nearly as much as in the glory days of da U

Michael Buchanon: 6'5 255 (4.78 40) Probably better than Whitney Mercilus who had 6.5 sacks as a rookie for Houston. Had weight problems (lost 20 lbs) after having jaw wired shut (fight) but should rebound nicely. Had a down senior year after a great junior year.

<sigh> Lol.
I'm taking it for granted you know who Mira is? Man, that guy could sling the ball. He helped bring the Hurricanes program back into prominence.
Yeah, I remember the headaches the Dolphins brain trust was going through in picking their QB that year. The Dolphins wanted Griese, but the pressure was on them from the fans and everyone else to draft the Floridian and Heisman Trophy winner, Spurrier. The 49ers saved the Fins the trouble when they drafted Spurrier. (Spurrier is a great name, isn't it?)
Coincidently, the 49ers had also drafted Mira, I think a year or two earlier.
Oh yeah, I remember him. But only in the pros and not in college. He graduated in 64? I was a sophomore in high school then and the AFL was probably just getting started. But I remember him being with SF more than anything else, even more than backing up Griese.
