Date: January 28, 2013 04:55PM Not to hijack the thread but although Brady is the master of the pocket, lately, like Baltimore, the rest of the NFL is finally heeding my long standing parable that "If you want to find the Tom Brady that deserved to be drafted in the 6th round inside the future HOF Tom Brady, just blitz him."
I heard the announcers say it and the Ravens say it and next year, believe you me, everyone will be blitzing Brady. But if you let him sit back in the pocket, he can beat ANY pass defense, which is why he is headed for the Hall of Fame. Re: Running QB's cant make it to the superbowl...

Maybe I spent too much time concentrating on the Dolphins but my memory (and it may very well be flawed) was that Alex Smith only played 2 or three games at the beginning of the season, got injured, was replaced by Kaepernick and never played again for the rest of the season. If my memory is correct, how can you say that Smith took the 49ers to the SB, this January?. Re: Running QB's cant make it to the superbowl...
