This is a moderated phorum for the CIVILIZED discussion of the Miami Dolphins. In this phorum, there are rules and moderators to make sure you abide by the rules. The moderators for this phorum are JC and Colonel.
Not to hijack the thread but although Brady is the master of the pocket, lately, like Baltimore, the rest of the NFL is finally heeding my long standing parable that "If you want to find the Tom Brady that deserved to be drafted in the 6th round inside the future HOF Tom Brady, just blitz him."
I heard the announcers say it and the Ravens say it and next year, believe you me, everyone will be blitzing Brady.
But if you let him sit back in the pocket, he can beat ANY pass defense, which is why he is headed for the Hall of Fame.
How come when this team blitzes him it does not work? It only works if your DB's can cover their receivers. We haven't covered Welker since I don't know when. How about the wide receiver screen they keep running sickening really.

They had a most of that same talent and were not very good and neither was Alex Smith.. Maybe they just got a good coach who could get the most out of his players and coach them into a winning system...

Really? Maybe I spent too much time concentrating on the Dolphins but my memory (and it may very well be flawed) was that Alex Smith only played 2 or three games at the beginning of the season, got injured, was replaced by Kaepernick and never played again for the rest of the season.
If my memory is correct, how can you say that Smith took the 49ers to the SB, this January?.
