Jason La Canfora @JasonLaCanfora 8m
Woody Johnson also formalized what we had been reporting - Rex Ryan stays and Mike Tannenbaum is out. GM search underway

Looks like the toe-sucker is safe for another year, he convinced Woody it was everyone else's fault but his. Remember when Tannenbaum was repeatedly praised on this board?

Now multiple reports, including from @danpompei and @RapSheet, that Bears have fired Lovie Smith.

WOW, i'm a little shocked by this one, go 10-6 and get fired?

While I agree with you 100% as to the fact that this WILL be, I disagree 100% with anyone who thinks this SHOULD be the case.

there are going to be a lot of supposedly decent OC and DCs out there after all these firings, though unless our OC or DC get hired away I don't think we are in the market

in other news I read that our former ST dingbat of a coach KEITH ARMSTRONG is being mentioned as a possible HC candidate. What, is Kippy Brown busy?

I laugh at the Jets.

The jettison Sparano like he is the problem. The problem is the lard ass that hired him.

LOL Kippy Brown. You keep bringing back these lovely memories. I think he's waiting for the XFL to re-form.

The Dolphins did worse then I expected. Of course I expected Moore to play, and a better offense.

I guess the coaching staff deciding to play a QB and getting 7 wins somehow makes them look good.

Not sure where you are coming from, dolphin, but it seems as tho you have had a negative outlook for our Fins for quite a while. Sorry you feel that way.

The team won one more game than I thought they would; but what I was pleased with is that the games they lost, they were in the majority of the games; a few breaks here or there and they could have won some of them. That's what I was looking for when the season started.

RT? Who here expected him to start? I highly doubt that you did. For the little college experience he had at QB, he did pretty well. He has some growing to do, and he has said as much, so that is a good sign. He will have that opportunity this off season.

You expected Moore to start. Well, that was a strong possibility, but until he got hurt, it looked like Garrard was going to be the starter. So your guy, Moore, would have still been on the bench (or wearing a baseball cap and holding the clipboard).

You did, however, hit the nail on the head...."with a better offense." There were way too many problems on that side of the ball for RT, or the Fins, to be successful. The defense played well, but as has been the case for far too many years, crashed when the game was on the line. Need some help there, also.

Yes, the coaching staff did decide "to play a QB" (I sure hope so), who happened to be RT (which is where I believe you were going). Getting 7 wins certainly did not make them look good. They aren't too happy about that, just as the players aren't, the owner isn't, and the fans aren't. They will be working hard this off season to do much better, and everyone, from Ross on down, will be looking to Ireland to get it right.

I am optimistic about next season, but I caveat that until I see what Ireland does during the off season.

Looks like Andy Reid to KC as HC AND GM is a done deal, meaning Scott Pioli is gonna get whacked next, isn't he Parcells son-in-law or something?
