The legendary Don Shula could not really say differently, IMO. He's part of the Dolphins' organization. They all speak the same in public. Don't put much credence in what he would say or Marino on the same subject. Neither are known for "throwing anyone" under the bus publicly.

BTW, I don't think Phiblin is doing a bad job at all. There's room for improvement, and I sense he's smart enough to tweak things, here and there, on a variety of areas to make the team perform better. I give him my vote of confidence--no strings attached. smiling smiley

Being an honorary Dolphin has not stopped Shula from speaking out before.

Saban that SOB deserved an absolute tongue lashing for doing what he did to the organization, players and all of us loyal fans. Shula was diplomatic in his words and temperament. That's not really a criticism of him just recognizing his public image just like Marino's is very important. What was probably said in confidential circles was much more pointed, I'm sure.

I respect Coach Shula and Dan for their professionalism.
