If Cleveland owns Buffalo's pick. That could be lower than ours if we lose and they win. If both teams have the same record, we have a better division and conference record so we pick later.

We are in the right slot if that winning % is correct.

It will change when we play the Jets, but if the draft were today we'd be the last of the 8-7 teams.

That's SOS. Not win %

You are quite correct. That's what I meant. smileys with beer

We once had a raging debate over what the tie breakers were for playoff spots, and how they differed from establishing the draft order.

One poster had a particularly hard time reconciling the use of SOS for breaking ties on winning % for the draft order.

Fun times...spinning smiley sticking its tongue out

Sucks that a division winner (NFC South) earns a playoff spot and still picks before we do.

They won't.

They'll end up with the earliest pick in whatever round they get eliminated.

If they get eliminated in the wild card week they'll pick 21st. If the get eliminated in the Division week it would be 25th, and so on.

Whoever put this list together probably had an oversight or they just put together a list of all the teams based on winning% and SOS.

Move the Atlanta/Carolina winner into the 21st spot and slide everyone before that up a spot.

Looks like the best we can do right now is 14 IF SF beats the Cardinals. As of now we are 15th.

The good news is Buffalo gave up pick 19 for Sammy. Jets move to 6th.

You guys don't like read option quarterbacks. But just having seen him play, if he comes out, what you guys want in a traditional pocket QB is Cody Kessler.

From stellar 2014 season we get "14th" pick. Okay. Do we select the best player available in the draft that's left or pick a needed position to fill?

Ah, yes...the speculation begins.

I sure hope, but realize it's probably unlikely, that Philbin will be relieved of his duties and that Ross will change his mind and hire a better coach. Coyle should go back to doing something else too. (Dream on--I know.)

After Marriota to Tampa, the earlest J. Winston goes is #6 to the Jets unless someone trades to get him. If the Jets and Bears pass, he could slide all the way to the Texans at #16

It would serve him right. I would think that teams would be very hesitant to sign head case players with the new guidelines for discipline in the NFL.

Teams that SHOULD draft a first round QB.....

1. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2-14)

2. Tennessee Titans (2-14)

5. Washington Redskins (4-12)

6. New York Jets (4-12)

7. Chicago Bears (5-11)

10. St. Louis Rams (6-10)

12. Cleveland Browns (7-9)

16. Houston Texans (9-7)

19. Buffalo Bills (9-7) -- pick is owed to Cleveland. Too bad!

Its going to depend on his interviews.

He could still go #1 if he nails that and it wouldn't surprise me if he did.

Winston is a pocket passer and a big kid. He's what teams want at QB physically.

It will be interesting to see how it shakes out but Tenn can't be thrilled with Locker or Mettenberg at this point.

I'll tell ya, Colonel, with as many holes Miami needs to fill, just get the best player available and that player will fill a position of need.
