If I were you, I'd worry more about our Rookie QB not knowing what to do when he is about to get hit.

Since you say it happens so much, give me some games, any games, college or pro and I'll get the tape and look.
IN FACT HAS ANYBODY ELSE ON THIS BOARD seen a defensive blitz an offense that is at the 6 yard line????????????????
DK, when a quarterback is on the 6 yard line, YOUR SIX YARD LINE, the trick for him is to FIGURE OUT THE DEFENSE AND IT'S POTENTIAL WEAKNESS,
the job of the DEFENSE is to DISGUISE IT'S COVERAGE AND DISGUISE whether they are prepared for the pass or run.
When you have an all out blitz coming, the solution is TOO EASY!
Anybody, give me an example.

The Defense has a huge advantage with the short field.
Teams often blitz that close.
You are just pissed because you kept on crying about the coaching staff not blizting, and then when you saw what happens when Brady gets blitzed you don't want to look like a fool.

If Philbin would have challenged a fumble at the goal line, it would have been a personal foul and not challenged. Don't you know the rule.

RESPONSE: AN ADVANTAGE THAT THEY GIVE UP IF THEY COMMIT TO AN ALL-OUT BLITZ!!!!

RESPONSE: I also criticized them FOR BLITZING THE PUNTER!!!!!!
You just want to BLAME EVERYTHING ON TANNEHILL AND ARE DEFENDING THE COACHING STAFF SO IF WE LOSE, YOU CAN BLAME TANNEHILL.
BLAMING TANNEHILL IS MORE IMPORTANT TO YOU THAN SOLVING OUR PROBLEMS.

Two instances where a replay is automatic:
1. On scoring plays.
2. On turnovers.
If a coach challenges either play, its a 15 yard penalty and loss of challenge.
You know this, you were complaining about it a week or two ago. You just want to forget it for the sake of argument.
In case you STILL don't understand, dolfanKing. I said that if the ball had been knocked out of Tanny's hand AFTER he went into the endzone, the refs would have sworn it came out BEFORE HE ENTERED THE ENDZONE.
If the Pats would have recovered it in the endzone, then THERE WOULD BE NO TOUCHDOWN.
What you are talking about is the Houston game wherein the coach challenged a touchdown when the rules are that a touchdown is automatically reviewed.
THAT'S A TOUCHDOWN!
A call of a fumble BEFORE A TOUCHDOWN IS CALLED AND THAT THE BALL DID NOT BREAK THE PLANE OF THE GOAL LINE BEFORE THE FUMBLE IS NOT A TOUCHDOWN CALL AND IS REVIEWABLE.
I have to type in all caps because if there are about 3 things to understand and if I don't cap each point, you will overlook it and make me have to type another reply.

Where did I say that roughing the kicker was Tannehill's fault?
You said you never saw a blitz at goal to go at the six. I have. That is all this exchange is about, and you know it.

What are the announcers talking about? It would have been STUPID with 5 minutes left to go in the third quarter to go for it on fourth down and risk going down by 14.
The decision to punt was a no-brainer.
Dan Carpenter (which apologies to SamSam) again proved why he belongs in the Pro Bowl. But then again, SamSam backed down on Jake Long not belonging in the probowl and agreed with SoCalPhinFan that Jake Long was the "best (LT) available" for the Pro Bowl. So who can figure out why he started a thread that said "What's the World Coming to Jake Long and Dan Carpenter going to the Pro Bowl?"
