Yeah, it's definitely strange how many there are right now. It seems like only yesterday people were pointing out the dearth of young qb talent in the NFL.

I agree with your list almost entirely...but I'd probably move newton up to #3.

He had the best rookie year ever and has as much or more potential as anyone on that list. All he lacks is maturity.

Otherwise...thumbs up

It's exciting, if you ask me. I hope they represent the next phase of NFL history. I was SO tired of Farvre and have been tired of Brady for longer than he has been playing. Tough for me to dislike either Manning, esp after jr. beat the Patsies twice. Rapelisberger...name says it all for me.

I think if you combine a much lower price tag and an increased importance of the QB position it's no surprise that we're seeing so many more teams take chances with young high draft picks.

Here's to hoping Tannehill is remembered as the best of the bunch.

@Truth Cam Newton is still sort of turning the corner, he had a fantastic game on Monday, but it was versus the dreadful Eagles. His season thus far hasn't been as promising as his rookie campaign. If I was a Panther fan, I'd be very concerned about him. We'll see what becomes of him in the 2013-2014 year. Thanks for reading my List.

Newton annoys me with that stupid grin every time he makes a play. He will be good if he can grow up.

I agree that I'd be very concerned about him if I was a panthers fan. But if you are going to rank these guys by performance and potential he has to be in the top 3 if not #1.

He might also be the most likely to disappoint out if the top half if that list but nobody else on that list has done what he has in the NFL and nobody has more potential.

I'm tired of Brady as much as the next guy , but he is showing no signs of errosion whatsoever. I think alot of Brady's success though is Belichick adapting and putting him in a place to succeed.

I think Tanny has the Tools to do that if we can surround him with a better cast of players.

Good List! But I think Tanny is right where he should be. Now its just a race to see which organization gives which QB the better chance at success.

Guaranteed to start controversy (Glad nobody has weapons handy) is my list.

I have left your numeration in front of the names to show the difference.

But my ranking is based on "HOW WOULD THE QUARTERBACKS RANK IF THEY HAD A PERFECT OFFENSIVE TEAM BEHIND THEM?"

It's not based on how they are playing now.

7. CAROLINA Newton (Huge Size puts him above RGIII)
2. WASHINGTON RGIII (combines all assets of Newton, Wilson, RT)
6. SEATTLE Wilson (One of the most accurate long bombers ever)
3. MIAMI Tannehill (next in line)
1. INDIANAPOLIS Luck (Back in the 70's-90's would have been #1)
5. CINCINNATI Dalton
8. MINNESOTA Ponder
9. TENNESSEE Locker
10.CLEVELAND Weeden (Hasn't shown anything)
4. SAN FRAN Kaepernick (too early to tell)
11.PHILADELPHIA Foles
12.ARIZONA Lindley

If all goes according to plan and according to how it's looking....

Tom Brady is 35. (Marino retired at 37) That gives Brady maybe 2 years before Ryan Mallett takes over...if he can. Hardly anyone not named brett Favre has any success at QB beyond 36 or 37.

Mark Sanchez will be gone most likely as will Ryan Fitzpatrick. (We can't have 3 Ryans in the same division)

That means the Jet, Bills and Pats may all be looking for a QB and a HC/GM.

I have a feeling that Belichick retires with Brady so he doesn't ruin his legacy. Without Brady, the Pats are NOTHING.

Just about the time Tannehill will be hitting his stride.

Hopefully they all struggle to find one for many years and don't get to draft a stud early that turns out to be great.

Imagine...Bills Jets and Patriots...rebuilding. Such a nice thought.
