They are both still 6-4. We would have to win 2 straight as they lose 2 straight putting us all at 6-6. The other problem is that the Bengals are 5-5 and we are in a three way tie for 2nd place in the AFC East and SD & Tennessee are also 4-6.

No problem. We just have to root for the Jets, Bills, Chargers, Colts, Titans and Bengals to all lose.

Yikes....to much to even hope for. The best I can hope for at this point is that the team doesn't quit and continues to get better. Especially RT.

Mathematically? Sure we do.

The reality is that our playoff chances were over when we lost to Indy.

Wow. Such pessimism.

There are six games left. The first thing you figure is winning all your own games.

In fact that's the only thing you figure on.

You also have to hope that people you are in competition will not do the same. We are at 6 losses.

Starting with New England (Don't worry about Houston and Baltimore who only have 1 and 2 losses, no way are we going to get the number one seed) here are the rest of the teams with better records than us. We are competing for four spots.

3. New England Pats 7 3
4. Denver Broncos 7 3
5. Indianapolis Colts 6 4
6. Pittsburgh Steelers 6 4
7. Cincinnati Bengals 5 5
8. San Diego Chargers 4 6
9. Tennessee Titans 4 6
10.New York Jets 4 6
11.Buffalo Bills 4 6

As you can see, we are at 4-6 and there are only 5 teams with better records and four with the same.

Of those 5 teams, the Bengals are at 5-5 BUT WE BEAT THEM AND HEAD TO HEAD IS A TIEBREAKER WE WOULD WIN.

We play the Pats twice and if we Beat the Bills in the rematch and the Pats Twice, we could very well end up with a Division Championship assuming we win the tiebreaker against the Jets who we split with.

So Geezzzzz, folks, you guys need to get a grip. This Thanksgiving day game is important.

I would expect most would say root for the Jets because

1) New England has a better overall record and

2) New England has a better DIVISION record and that is all important in determining the Division winner.

Geeezzzzz! You guys remind me of the mob in Shakespeare's Julius Caesar at the time of the discovery of the assassination of Caesar.

The murderers, Brutus and Cassius, came out immediately and addressed the crowd which was in shock and gave a speech that talked about how Rome had always been a free Democratic nation ruled by a Senate and how Caesar was turning it into a dictatorship ruled by him. They loved Caesar, they said, but they loved Rome more and that was the important thing.

At that point, the mob was so impressed that when Marc Anthony came to speak next as Caesar's friend, they threatened him that he had better not say anything negative about Brutus and Cassius.

He started softly, begging only to be able to remember a personal friend. He then quietly began recounting the personal things that Caesar had done for him in his own life bringing tears to the eyes of the crowd. He then began speaking of the things Caesar had done for the public and the poor. He then began to read out of Caesar's will the gardens and buildings that he had bequeath to the public.

Now the crowd was so enraged at the murderers that they barely escaped the City with their lives.

You guys show the same kind of emotion. We suck at two games. Yeah. But we are the same team that went from 1-3 to 4-3.

I swear if we get BETTER COACHING GAME TIME DECISIONS, we can make the playoffs.

Specifically, THE COACHES HAD NO BUSINESS TELLING, OR EVEN LETTING TANNEHILL THROW THAT LAST BOMB THAT ENDED UP IN AN INTERCEPTION.

In that situation, YOU DON'T EVEN WANT TO SCORE FAST. If 19-14 becomes 21-19, then a field goal beats us at 22-21.

So that pass was at 1:54 seconds left and we were about at mid-field. We should have been looking to SLOWLY move the red zone and score a touchdown with nothing left on the clock.

So the whole point of this and the Caesar bit is that we CAN MAKE THE PLAYOFFS.

The problem with you guys are that half of you are attacking Tannehill and the other half is defending him and attacking Long and the other players, when in reality, I say BUT FOR POOR GAMETIME COACHING DECISIONS THAT WERE SIMPLE, WE WIN THE 2 OVERTIME GAMES PLUS THE BILLS GAME AND WE ARE 7-3, just like New England.

This isn't happening. Sorry for the pessimism, but Miami will be hard pressed to win another game this year. They simply don't have the experience and mentality to make it happen this year.

Their early success has been figured out and they have not and will not adjust. Just don't know how to.

Miami almost certainly will finish 4-12. Maybe... I mean MAYBE they get to 6-10. That's against jax and buffalo... Maybe.

Of course, Brady, that's a horse of a different color.

Saying that we CAN'T win for lack of talent is different from saying that the odds make it impossible for us to make the playoffs.

Saying that we CAN'T win for lack of talent is different from saying that the odds make it impossible for us to make the playoffs given our record, which ain't that bad considering.

obviously miami isn't mathmatically eliminated yet... but given the opponents in the next three weeks, and given the history of the last three weeks...

All signs point to "season is done" as far as playoffs are concerned.

Now if they figured out a way to sweep the pats and beat the bills... then take one or two away from seattle or san fran... then there's a shot.

But who are we kidding??? This is miami. They have not in recent years EVER performed when all the marbles are on the line. Not once.

No better indicator of future expectations then that of historical performances.

Pittsburgh, Tennessee and Buffalo lose. NE at home next. A win vs NE would be a huge confidence booster for Miami.

Yeah this is a game that offsets one of the losses we had the last 3 weeks.

Gonna take another surprise win to get us back in the mix.

We are going to need a herculean effort by the defense or ST's as we did vs the Jets to pull this game out. Good news is that we are at home...and our run defense seems to be back on track with a healthier Soliai and co.

Just to finish 8-8, we are going to need to win 1 out of 3 games against New England and San Francisco. Given the passing yards we gave given up this year, I imagine Brady will have two big days against us. Our only hope with the Pats is if the pass rush can really get after Brady. At least he won't have Gronkowski at his disposal for this first one.
