Hello all. Why is everyone going nuts? What did u expect? Tanny will not be great as in Dan status. He at best will be decent but without talent around him he has no chance Bush is our best offensive player i am not saying he is a god player but just that he is OUR best player. The guy was ripping it the first three games so did he just lose his legs? I dont know what or whom is to blame but this team sucked for years and will continue to suck until u havemanagment that can get players and the players find a heart

I expect them to make a solid, focused effort. That did not happen yesterday. They went out there expecting the Titans to lay down and they didn't, so Miami responded flat.

They played like it was the pro bowl. Pure shit

A win Thursday and we're right back in the wild card hunt. I expect we will come out with some fire Thursday night

What did I expect? Nothing after last week. The loss to Indy last week was it for me. Now that I expect them to lose every game they play, it no longer bothers me when they decide to embarrass themselves.

This team has proven to be nothing more than the football equivalent of a c*ck teaser. Just when they get you up, they let you down. They could f*ck up a wet dream without even trying.

It's not getting knocked down that matters. It's how you respond when you get back up.

Does this team have any heart? We'll see because they certainly didn't show any yesterday.

Can the coaches rally this team?

Have we already seen the best Kevin Coyle has to offer? I sure as hell hope not. They have been in decline for 3 weeks. So much for making the most of a mediocre backfield.

The entire defense needs to do some tackling drills because that was pathetic. Time for a little Oklahoma drill!

And on top of it, talking about Oklahoma football..... in junior high and high school, receivers and db backs were given this drill. They were in side the gym one by one and told to close their eyes. The football was thrown at them from about five feet away and they were told to "open" simultaneously with the release of the ball. The ball could come high, low, left, right, middle, whatever. You were not finished until you caught a certain number IN A ROW. It was the old "THINK FAST" drill.

The Dolphins receivers and dbacks should be given that drill at every practice, then maybe Sean Smith could catch an interception and our receivers won't drop so many balls.

For me, I am very disappointed by the mistakes, effort and players not playing up to their potential. However, there are some silver linings to the cloud.

Remember 08 when we ended the season thinking we were closer than we were and we spent the next 3 years chasing our tail? This team has a ton more talent than that one, but we're still not close to where we need to be to compete for multiple years in a row.

Players are playing themselves out of money and jobs. Frankly, if the truth is that Long is no longer anywhere near an elite LT (don't think that's even debatable any more) then I don't want us to be stuck paying him like one. I've moved from wondering if it's worth the risk of potentially overpaying him to wondering whether he should even be on the team next year at any realistic price. Bush? Incognito? Have not done their pocketbooks any favors no matter whether they stay with the Phins or not.

If nothing else - and keep in mind I'm disappointed, not happy about any of this - we're getting a clearer picture of future steps that need to be taken.

This would be great to see, but relatively unlikely. I see Fitzy lighting up the secondary just like everyone else has, even without a running game as their starting RB is out for concussion.

Too short of time to get any confidence back and definitely too short to make true corrections.

This will most likely look like a continuation of the last couple weeks... poor effort by the o-line, d-line, no running game, dropped INTs, and big plays by Buffalo down the seems behind Miami's LBs.

This season is very likely done as far as playoffs are concerned. It's back to pre-season evaluation mode where players are playing for jobs now.

I really thought that the team from last year with better play calling would have been better.

So was hoping new coach would stay with Moore and make better play calls.

I was expecting a playoff team with Moore at starting QB.

THEN

Marshall was released. Tannehill was named starter....I didnt expect so much then.

Oh God forbid if the undrafted career backup QB is named the starter over a top ten pick. The masses surely would have been in revolt for that move.

Don't you know - top ten was picked higher than Marino, so Tannehill must be better than Marino. Say anything else and you must not be a fan.

Example......i guess hartline is a coach as well.....because he fumbled and they scored after that.

The rest 0f the scrub players on this team are probably coaches as well.

And did HARTLINE FAIL TO,
1)after other receivers had constantly dropped receptions,
2)after the defensive backs and linebackers constantly dropped interceptions,
4) after the o line constantly let tacklers in on RT
5) tell RT that with 1:54 seconds left trailing by 5 to 'GO FOR IT ALL" with the long bomb so that even if it had succeeded TOO MUCH TIME WOULD HAVE BEEN LEFT ON THE CLOCK.

SamSam you are the type of person who simplifies everything into blaming ONE player, preferably one you choose to blame (you have such a gay man crush on RT it could never be him although I don't think it was RT's fault either). Like I said, you are the same as DolfanKing, he blames everything on RT and you seek to blame anyone but RT for losses and most likely his receivers.

But this loss is squarely on the coaches.

First, for having the players come out and PLAY WORST than they did against Titans although the scoreboard was deceiving. But particularly if you factor in how flat they were against the Titans one would expect a better effort and not a worse effort.

Secondly, going from the general above to the specific, in mismanaging the clock on the last drive and not doing the dink and the donk thus running down the clock and getting closer to make a REALISTIC shot at the endzone and not a Hail Mary.

I don't disagree totally Cheryne. But its not the coaches fault when Carpenter can't connect, Or hartlines dropping Balls , or When Carroll is pulling in Pass Tnter. calls like No tomorrow. Hell I'm glad the Jets Tripped him now!

Yes, Treasure. Of course, there are individual failures. But when defensive backs drop interceptions GAME AFTER GAME. When YOUR pass rushers have a quarterback almost in the grasp and he escapes and makes big yardage GAME AFTER GAME. When there are penalties called (okay, they cured the block in the back penalties of last week but what about the interference penalties) time after time (it should have dawned on the coaching staff to tell Nolan, "They're calling it tight so play it loose"winking smiley, then at a certain point you have to ask, "Is your team BEING COACHED???????????????"

Wrong....I was too tired to go into detail....the whole team stunk...I just put hartline as an example because he made the first big mistake.

Coaches cant make players play well. They just draw the plays and hope the players execute them to perfection.

Agreed........

But to sum it up its a combination of both the coaches fault and the players fault for not executing the plays. JMO.

Coaches CAN call plays that put our players in the best position to succeed. Expecting players to do things they're not suited for (like having Bess run for long receptions) is poor coaching. Tanny was reading the defense and reacting correctly based on what he's been coached to do, but time and time again it failed throughout the game. Audibles to runs were useless. Long passes got picked off. Coaches could have changed that.

Yeah, you are just as medical about defending Tanny as DolfanKing is about attacking him. Your technique is to attack everybody else on the team, strangely with the exception of the coaches, so that RT won't come in for any blame.

No I don't do exactly the same thing with respect to Tanny. I've posted on this board that in the last two games, he has COME APART MENTALLY when it is put on him, deservedly or not, to have to win the game.

What I MEANT WAS I don't think it was his WHOLE FAULT.

But you probably don't think ANY OF IT WAS HIS FAULT.

That's the same gay man crush that led you to FLIP OUT at the VERY SUGGESTION that Moore could teach Tannehill ANYTHING!!

RESPONSE: You're talking about the offense. You're totally ignoring the defense although Tennessee blew us out with their offense and the Bills drove FIVE TIMES ON US THAT COULD HAVE LED TO TOUCHDOWNS.

What do I base my opinion that the loss is squarely on the coaches?

Exhibit A. The Tennessee Titan game.

Poor tackling both of runners and Jake Locker, once when he was lying flat on his back and all they had to do is touch him to have him sacked by rule.

Exhibit B. The Bills game where we made the same mistakes.

Exhibit C The secondary dropping interceptions.

On that last one, you can say what you want but if a guy has reached the point where he is drafted in the pros, he has the skills, the fact that he LAPSES AND BEGINS TO LOSE THOSE SKILLS (OR NOT EXECUTE THOSE SKILLS) IT IS ON THE COACHING AS WELL AS THE PLAYER.

Montequi also makes even better points below.
