Now is the time for RT to step up.
I just saw him overthrow a receiver in the flats big time. Not very composed.
Now a false start... This team is falling apart. On the field, its the QBs responsibility to keep it together.

The announcers said he dropped it.
You must be a good lawyer - you never let the facts get in the way of your story.

Except for that play where RT overthrew the WR in the flats, or that play where RT threw the ball at the WRs knees 5 yards down the filed.
I guess when the team is 3rd and 10 and 4th and 15, the coaching staff has to call plays that go for the first down. But don't let that get in the way of your story...
Tannehill blew it on that last drive. He over threw his recievers on 1st and 2nd down.... tough loss... the offensive line and secondary lostus that game...... F8ck!!!!!!!!!!!! I hate losing these close games, like we have this year....

The announcers said 3 refs called it a drop. The replay showed it was a drop.
If the coach had challenged, it would have been one less time out - and that would have caused trouble since there was only a bit over 2 minutes left on the clock.
The coaching staff did the right thing.
Meanwhile, our QB continues to choke when the game is on the line or when he gets into the red zone.... It is getting harder and harder to ignore....

This game is all on the defense. Tanny did have a chance to do something at the end but over 400 yds passing and shitty 3rd down defense is directly the reasons Miami lost.
Complete piss poor execution when it was on the line for the defense. Even on the last drive when they had one breath left, they give up a 20 yard run on 3rd and 7. Microcosm of the whole game.

I saw Jake Long getting beaten....
Indy has a strong pass rush. But RT was being awfully slow in identify open receivers.
And late in the game, and in the red zone, RT passes were off target a lot.
In several cases, RT let the receiver run out of bounds before catching the ball. This tells me RT was not identifying the open receivers quick enough. Perhaps RT was more concerned about the rush - but he can't be. The QB has to identify and then let it fly on target, quickly. RT still hasn't adjusted to NFL speeds...

RT was off target a low and slow to identify open WRs.
The comment that RT is not there yet was on target.
RT was 22/38 for 290 and a TD. He did just enough to win this game. The defense completely blew it. They could not stop them on 3rd down all day and zero pressure on luck let him pick them apart.
The o line also blew it as well with the sacks and penalties. This was a worse game in my opinion than the texans game because of the expected progression this far in the season.
Horrible loss that will have far reaching effects.
I'll go on record and say they blow it next week as well and the season will be officially in the tank at that point.
Even still, it will not be on RT. He's doing enough to win.

Sean Smith is a DB. He almost came up with a good play.
Jake Long was going against perhaps the best DLineman in the NFL. He did well.
Ryan Tannehill got multiple chances to lead his team to a comeback win and was off target and held onto the ball too long.
I know Tannehill is your favorite player, and you root for him over the team, but open your eyes. The rookie played like a rookie. Meanwhile Luck showed us all what a top ten QB pick should look like.

I'm not dissing either. Long played well considering he was up against one of the best defensive lineman in the NFL for a significant portion of the game.
Martin is a rookie, and up against what is perhaps one of the toughest d-lines.
This was a team loss today, although several opportunities for a defensive moment existed--nothing.
Our defense tired chasing around a very mobile QB. There was enough defense on the part of the Colts to thwart efforts to get to Luck when he did hang in the pocket. By halftime the D-line looked very tired. The secondary didn't play close enough and tackled poorly.
Tannehill, I believe was not too hampered by his knee today. His movements were not fluid. He was not 100% today and it showed, despite his decent throwing numbers.
The last play of the game showed how tired the D was when they allowed the RB to make a first down and more.... They were pushed backwards at least 10 yards.
While the scoring was close, and the game was hard fought, it exposed some of our defensive weaknesses. One of them is the inconsistency of
our RT another is Smith's inconsistency. Our RT was overwhelmed today. Jake Long was outplayed and I believe his elite status as one of the top LTs in the league is gone. Freeny easily out played him.
Overall, I am grossly disappointed with our play today.

I don't think this loss is a bad as you think. The coaching was solid, the team played hard. It just is becoming clear that this team is young, and still has some holes (particularly at D.
I looked at the message list for this thread (of course the way it existed before this posting by me) and it said "Last Post by DolfanKing" and for a brief second I misinterpreted that and engaged in some wishful thinking.

I disagree. This was a game where they could have separated from the pack and shown what they were made of. They didn't. Not only did they fail to do that, they played completely flat with zero urgency. No emotion. Flat off the huge victory over the jets.
It will challenge their confidence and I see the titans finding a way to expose them even more putting them back below .500.
Again, I hope I eat my words but this is groundhog day all over again with this bullshit effort I saw today all around.
Winners play with intelligence and ride the confidence of a winning attitude. Miami plays like they are on vacation half the time. No emotion or urgency.
This will probably show up again against titans and we will have this same dumbass conversation about how RT blew it etc.
We also lost this game because Tannehill wasnt clutch... He didnt play well on that last drive...RT had a chance to win the game, it was in his grasp and it didnt happen...

I dont blame Tannehill for the loss, the secondary and offensive line take the blame, Tannehill just didnt win us the game when he had the opportunity to do so...While Luck won that game entirely on his shoulders IMO...

Yeah, but he can't block for himself and he can't run patterns. Contrast how WIDE OPEN the Colts receivers were all day and how Tanny had to thread the needle on almost every completion.
On that last drive, he did get rattled. However, on those two throws, the receivers were covered anyway.
Another thing it was stupid play calling with like 2nd and 20 to go for 20 yard completions on three consecutive plays.
YOU CAN DO THAT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE GAME but when you know you're down to your LAST FOUR PLAYS, you've go to play FOUR DOWNS like you usually play THREE DOWNS in the ordinary course of the game.
The way you play 2nd and 20 is 2nd down get a five to seven yard completion. Now it's 3rd and 15 or 17. Third down get another 5 to seven yard completion. Now it's 4th and 8. That you go for. You don't want to end up 4th and 20 like we did.
BTW, I just heard on the Steelers game that all turnovers are reviewed. Since that interception I am arguing with DolfanKing about was NOT CALLED A TURNOVER, then we had to throw the challenge flag.
Still cannot figure out why we didn't challenge it. Would like someone else to discuss it than DK, whose interest of course is to exculpate (that a legal word for "to render innocent" any element of the team except Tannehill.

If the colts defense played like Miami's did today, this is a runaway victory for Miami. Pure and simple.
Miami has won with less output from RT. That's because the defense, o line, and special teams showed up in those games.
That didn't happen today at all and you see the results. Still had a chance to win because of RT's play, not in spite of it.
