From what I understand, Moore has been invaluable to Tannehill's development and I believe Tannehill himself has made statements to this effect. Personally, I really like Matt Moore. He comes across as a high character guy from his interviews, teammates comments, and hard knocks and he plays with somewhat of a gunslinger mentality, which i prefer. I hope we at least offer Matt Moore backup money next year and if he gets a better offer with a chance to start then I will wish him best of luck. Honestly, if I was a team drafting a franchise QB next year then I would give serious consideration to bringing in Matt Moore as a mentor/stopgap/topbackup type guy.

Crowder, I firmly believe Zac Taylor(our QB coach) will be an NFL head coach one day. He has risen far in a short time and his limitations as a player were physical not mental. Our entire coaching staff is trending upwards.

Very few great players make great coaches.

Matter of fact, most great coaches were either average or below average football players in the NFL, if they even made it to the NFL.

Chren .....NO No NO anemone has a point.....Tannehill will not learn a thing from watching moore play....because moore is an inferior player...I told you moore can give him a few pointers etc......that means he will have to talk to him.....Unless he does the talking with his hands like the deaf people.

Thats it iam not talking about this no more. Thats my believe,...

Just like your believe that the let go of vontae was wrong....and i disagree.....I saw the interview and saw nothing worng with it.

Lessons learned. In the military we spend lots of time examining into the foibles and successes of the past. This is done to learn the pitfalls as well as the smart and practical things to do.

Learning occurs constantly. Same applies, I believe on the field of play. Situations are similar but not exactly the same. What a more experienced player brings to the table is time and situational experience.

Tannehill can learn by watching films of Marino, Woodley, Griese, Earl Morral, and a host of other quarterbacks who have taken more snaps then he has. Learning pitfalls is just as important as learning how to excel at making a given play(s).

My preference is to see Tannehill play, if he is healthy to do so.

Tanny is still listed as questionable and so is Hartline.

Calling somebody "not intelligent" is a good way to get a non constructive flame war going. Among fans of the same team, that is not a good thing. Sam has a POV at the opposite end of the spectrum as DK and is just as stubborn in defending it. Nothing can be gained trying to get either to see things differently. Henry, you should know that by now.

Good advice, Hooligan but read it again. I did not say that he himself was not intelligent.

I said that "it is not intelligent to take a position that".

But I get you on your getting him to see things differently point and the rest of your advice.

Edited to add:

And Hooligan, he deserves what he gets for taking an "absolutist" position. Every since grade school we have been taught not to talk in absolutes.

But like DK, he is so emotionally invested in a position that his belief in that position gets the better of his common sense at times. Maybe not as much as DolfanKing but it is beginning to show.

Nobody is attacking Tannehill, SamSam but people don't like it any better when you attack Matt Moore. You are being a DolfanKing in reverse.

Yeah, SamSam, you never attacked Moore. It's not attacking him when you say that he is an inferior quarterback and that he cannot teach Tannehill anything or to put it in your exact words he is an inferior "who can teach Tannehill nothing."

Yeah that's supporting him all the way.

And you actually say that I should get it through MY thick head that YOU SUPPORT MOORE?

With friends like you, Moore does not need enemies.

And you end it with the "nut case" comment. What I was trying to get you to see is why your statement did not make sense, even if you take it out of the context of sports and apply it to anything. I was trying to reach out and counsel you but you return my favor by insulting me.

Now I know "how you roll."

Oh and you don't insult me by putting this on the board and by saying "now I know what they mean".

Like I said, SamSam, now I know how you roll.

I really would be a nutcase if I accepted your apology.

I defended you on this board more than anyone else has. This is how you respond when I disagree with you on one issue.
