AP reporting that Stephen Ross will announce shortly that he's paying $400 million in renovations for Sun Life Stadium

Only took him 5 yrs to act like an owner.......Thanks for paying to fix HIS stadium. Hey I just did some upgrades to my bathroom.....I paid for them too.

Do they also have the county manage the stadium for free for the organizations? Also the Marlins deal is quite possibly the largest heist and sham in Florida history... The Heat are suppose to pay money to the county for rent but get around it through another sham.... I just think it is typical Ross BS, to leak that he is paying for the stadium and then after the fact announce the catch... Which isn't as it was leaked initially to the press as evident of how the original post came across and the actual reality... The old bait and switch to a certain extent....
Just be upfront... It might be a decent deal, but it seems shady based on the change of what was leaked and what was confirmed...

Its like me telling you, I am giving you a car, and then when you come to pick it up, I tell you it is yours but I want you to pay my personal taxes for a while, if you want it.... Not exactly as warming as when I told you I was just giving you a car...

OK........I'm no accountant but why would you pay $400 million just to save $3.8 Million a year? Take a long while to get that back......Does a Superbowl pay that much that its worth the $400 Mill in the long run? I just want seats closer to the sidelines. No more B.S. Marlins dugouts. Really make visiting Teams feel like outcasts instead of on vacation when they come .

The guy just can't win with some of you.

He just gave you a car for free and told you to pay the sales taxes on it and that you have to pay for the gas and maintenance.

How is that not a good/fair deal for you?

If he gets ANY push back on this from ANYONE he ought to give up and just move the team to California. What's the point of trying to please people who look at a 400m gift, that will bring hundreds of millions more to the region in income from future Super Bowls, as some kind of a sham?

If he can give it as a charity to a school he can give it to renovate his own stadium.

Finnally acting like an owner.

Strong move by Ross. Some might argue it's 3 years late in coming, but impressive nonetheless.

With the billions the NFL makes annually and the non profit status it enjoys, they should be financing these stadium projects.

Ross' 400mm investment will create thousands of jobs and pour tax revenue into the area. How this is bad in any way is beyond me.

If a deal sounds too good to be true, it usually is. I just do not trust the MFer. Pay $400 million for $4 million in Tax relief? Really?
