Why do you guys bicker about who the starting quarterback is on the team? Tannehill was our top draft pick, has shown to have a solid understanding of the offense, and is doing quite well for a rookie. Moore did a good job coming in to fill the role as starter today. He made no mistakes and the team, as a whole performed solidly. In contrast, the Jets were outclassed in every department today. They had a terrible day. The Jets fans are crying in their beer right now. We aren't. That's a good thing for us.

Each week the Dolphins are getting better. We still are missing a few players offensively to make things really click along. I'd like to see us average 28-30 points a game. Gaffney was in the game today and should be a plus, but not the 'A' receiver we need. On the ground, we still are inconsistent. Bush will never be the inside guy. Daniel Thomas played okay today, let's see if he plays next week. Lamar Miller could be the guy for us in the middle but he doesn't seem to be all that aware of things and his blocking needs to improve. He's got the power, speed and moves to be a threat. Hopefully, he gets better with practice.

Dolphins are doing well. Let's keep up the optimism.

Also a hyper-extended knee...according to Bob Griese. Neither injury is expected to be serious but an MRI will be done in the morning.

And DK, if you want to be seen as someone who is giving praise instead of what you are known for on this board. Then you need to work on your writing skills ad choose your words much more carefully.

You are simply a negative person when it comes to the Dolphins and specifically RT. Even when you are making an attempt at being positive...it comes off as negative.

Moore did today exactly what he is getting paid to do. That's come in and do enough to win without making huge mistakes. He isn't a great QB, even though he's a quality veteran who can get the job done. Moore also does not have an elite type skill set. RT on the other hand, is a rapidly improving ROOKIE who does have elite type skills. As RT grows and improves, so too will the team around him as well as the other way around.

Todays game was a team win, and everyone should get the praise for it.

I'll take a franchise quality QB that dosen't have to be, any day of the week, over one that has to be evey game. So far, IMHO, RT is in the former catagory.

Give me a break.

The other day somebody told me that they wish I got hit by a car.

Choose my words more carefully? Seriously? Sorry, I'm not walking on eggshells for a few nutcases. Never have, never will.

Hey, I don't care who the QB is - Moore or Tannehill, as long as the team plays this way.

I do recognize that its the TEAM not Tannehill thats the reason why this team is where it is today. If that rubs people the wrong way - so be it. I'm a DOLPHINS fan first.

See, this is what I'm talking about. I never said or suggested you need to walk on egg shells. When you post you need to make sure what you mean to say you ACTUALLY say. That way your words can't be used against you later, and are usually not very open to interpetation...as happens alot with you. Your posts are all too often half baked, overly biased, and full of negativity.

When you actually read your posts, there is little wonder why others pour derision upon you.

Either way, do what you want to do...but if you refuse to improve on the clarity of your posts. You'll continue to be put upon.

So how am I supposed to interpret someone telling me they want me to get hit by a car?

That is your reading. Are you aware that I have no control how others read and respond to my posts?

I could say the team played great, and I'll get jumped on because I "hate Tannehill". My perception of these people is that they are Tannehill fans, not Dolphins fans.

And so, it doesn't matter how positive I am about the team, they won't care. I'm not positive about their player, and that is what is important.

Today just proves that.

Whatever.

Most peoples posts aren't that clear. I feel I'm clear on what I want to communicate. At this point I don't really care how others read it. They either get or they don't.

You seem to be in the latter camp.

Ken, he does say what he means to say. He IS negative, as someone said, "mainly about Tannehill."

It may not be based on his being a fan of another team. That would be, in a way, charitable to his mental health.

I'm afraid he has become obsessed with his prediction that Tannehill was a bad choice.

As I said, before, we have to begin to question OUR OWN sanity, the more we continue to argue with him. It's the old definition of insanity is doing a thing over and over again and getting one result while expecting a different result each new time.

We have to give up on DK and just let him post and content ourselves with the fact that with each new post, he becomes MORE medical.

By arguing with him, we may even be, on a perverse level, validating and encouraging his insanity.

At the very least, we are keeping the conversation about "Should we have drafted Tannehill" or "Should Tannehill be starting" alive when those are settle questions.

if you truly are a dolphins fan, you wouldn't refer to RT as "their player." Whose player exactly? He is the starting QB of the phins.

Yes you said the team played great, but your prevoius comments were such that they alluded to it doing so because Moore was playing in place of RT. If thats not what you meant, then you should have written it better.

I bet you dolphanking is going to say we won the game because of matt moore when we won because of special teams.

This has got to be the most dominating by a miami dolphins special teams ever..

Blocked extra point....Blocked punt...great return except one play great coverage overall.

special teams get an A plus on this one.

I'm not going to Rag on Moore. He came in and did a nice Job , made some great throws against a depleted Jets Secondary. But Tanny is out Future. Moore probably upped his value nicely though for next season though. thumbs up

NE has a bye so we can move into a tie for 1st (before tie-breaker) with a win over the Colts. Buffalo is @ Houston.

Indy is -35 in net points. Miami is +24 (4th best in the AFC behind Denver, Houston, NE)

Colts lost to NY by about the same margin as we beat NY (35-9) and then squeaked by Cle and Ten.

NE comes back from a bye to face Buffalo. Jets come back and go to Seattle.
We play Ten at home.

Schedule...
Indy (W)
Ten (W)
Buffalo (W)
Seattle (W)
NE (L)
SF (L)
Jax (W)
Buf (W)
NE (W)

Seattle will be a key game for us but it is at home so I pick us for a win. If we lose that we could be on a 3 game skid or be on a 7 game winning streak when we host NE. If we win the games we are supposed to win we could be looking at 11-5 and a tie with NE..but lose tie-breaker.

NE probably only loses 2 more games tops but they could lose 3 (SF, Hou & Mia) They could also split with the Jets for a 4th loss. Always a tough game for them.

Realistically they finish 11-5. Miami 10-6 for a wildcard.

Nothing like counting your chickens befoire they hatch. spinning smiley sticking its tongue out

We have seen glimpses of greatness in almost all phases of the game this year. The passing game is probably where we are the weakest but we are definitely not weak in passing.

We had a great passing outing in RT's 400 yards game, a couple of dominant rushing games. We have been dominant in stopping the run more often than not and we have been getting picks in the secondary more often. Our DB's have given up a lot of yards but are first in the league on 3rd downs or when it counts. ST's turn was obviously this week but they have been solid all around.

We are not far from being a tough & complete team.

Look out if we can keep it/ put it all together at once. In a weak AFC we could be a top 3 team. (We are already the 5th seed.)

Houston is the class of the AFC but I think we would give them a much better game today than we did week one.

If we beat NE in our last regular season game and make the playoffs, we're going to be the team that no one wants to play. No Superbowl expectations...so we'll, effectively, have nothing to lose in the playoffs.

Oh yeah. We won't be resigning him either. Too many other FA Priorities. Thats why I was hoping to trade him this season for anything.

Special teams scored 7 points.... not sure you can say we won because of ST.

ST played great, but Moore led offense scored some points too.

Just a great team win.

Special teams scored 7 points? Not exactly.

ST scored 1 td, 2 FG, 1 blocked FG which equates to 3 points. Defense killed at least 2 other drives that ended in int or FF that put us in great field position.

It was a team victory but not sure that we moved the ball on offense well enough to win the game if not for our defense and ST prowess. We had to punt 6 times as well. We had two long drives ending in a FG and one 60 yard drive ending in a TD.

The other TD drive was after a FF and we took over at the Jets 32 yard line.

That's like a 13-12 game.

Had the Miami defense not kept the Jets offense off the field, they would have had more opportunities and more points if not for ST FG block.
