After rewatching parts of the game on sunday and hearing people talk about it, it is clear Tannehill , Hartline and Bess had their biggest plays on sunday on broken plays... Plays that Tannehill had the ball for more then 4 seconds, that the WR's and Tannehill just improvised and made happen... THe WR's broke off their routes and Tannehill scrambled, just like backyard football in the lot... I like it, when you can turn broken plays into your best, no way to defend it... That is a major change/ difference in offensive mentality, before a broken play meant throw it away... If a QB improvised on a broken play, he would have his ass chewed out. They were taught if the play isnt there by the time the clock goes off, throw it away...

Yep! I don't want to harp on the Brandon Marshall thing, but this is exactly what Marshall was saying at the end of last season.

I like how he scrambles out of the pocket and has a strong enough arm to make it happen!! I am liking this kid more and more.

They are more commonly called 2nd reaction plays and Aaron Rodgers is best known for it. I'm guessing it's something Philbin emphasized in GB and is now emphasizing here. Tannehill has the athleticism and throw on run abilities to effectively take advantage of these situations, same as ARodgers.

The reason why we have success on broken plays is because our WR's are not talented enough to get open initially.

I think that's a bit harsh.

I think a big factor relates to the fact Thill can extend plays and makes things happen with his excellent athleticism...

The dude can flat-out throw the rock on the run - probably as good as any QB in the NFL right now! Yea. Less than a half a season and Thill has an aspect to his NFL game that's top-shelf!

Ya gotta love the kid. And the staff is doing the best job we've seen in these parts for many decades.

It's like John Elway all over again. The only thing left is for him to show he can tuck the rock under his arm and make huge yardage when he has to like Elway also did when that was the only thing left.

Tanny Thrives rolling out and throwing on the run. Thats his strentgh and now we need to build around that. Get him recievers that can get open and keep up the Pass protection.

Actually, the one thing Elway was great at was 4th-quarter comebacks. I'm not sure if there was a better QB at that (including Marino). If Thill can replicate that, then he's a HoFer for sure.

I'm sure that's a big part of the plan.

The OL needs a revamp at OT. And another playmaker @WR.

Add a bit more OL depth, outside pass rush and cover corner and we're really moving in the right direction.

I'm still hoping this staff can get Eggnew (or whatever his name) into a productive situation.

The receivers and RT are trusting in each other and developing good chemistry which makes the broken plays successful. I love it!
