interesting quote about the coaching staff

I like the staff this year. they seem very smart and prepared.

here's what nolan carol said:

"We're better prepared,'' Carroll said. "On Saturdays this year, we all know exactly what we need to do. I think last year on Saturdays we were trying to game plan too much. If you don't know it by Saturday, you don't know it."

Philbin has done nothing but impress me. And NO BS. I think the dudes time has come and he's 100% ready to make his mark!

Like I said way back...

If Philbin is the answer and Thill is a legit NFL franchise coitusback AND Ireland proves to be a rising star @GM we're in for a really good stretch. And I think there's sufficient evidence to say that's a legit possibility!

And this time.... No smoke and mirrors. This deal is built to last!

I hope!

LOL.

It helps that our Coordinators are good too.

Lets face it, we all thought our defense would take a step back because of the loss of Mike Nolan, but I actually think we have gotten better on D.

Coincidence that GB is not playing that well? Could Philbin have had that much impact?

RESPONSE: Absolutely not.

Here's my explanation. Indy was not as bad as they faked being last year.

Remember. Peyton was out for the season. They knew he was getting old.

They knew Andrew Luck would be the top pick.

They just tanked it.

Now, you have the same team that was great in the season before last with a good young QB and basically the same team you had year before last.

Not that Green Bay has fallen down by virtue of not having their asst. coach but that Indy never was as bad as they faked being.

maybe GB wasn't as good as they were faking the past few years

I think it is entirely possible that may be part of GB struggles. They may have lost some attention to detail with the offense. Philbin does have OCD.

We are getting better every week. When we have a problem area it usually gets fixed by the next week.

That being said...we will not win with the turnover problem but we fixed it for this week. Positive turnover ratio = win usually.

Still need to fix....

Carpenter
Sub-par play by Clay
the injured Bush (lol)
Smith's momentary lapses.

I think Gaffney will help tremendously. As of now we have no reliable third option. Fasano has been good but he just doesn't have the physical tools to be consistent.

Koyle is sure increasing our DB int's as advertised.

and maybe our worst problem on offense....Lack of Red Zone talent in the receiving game.

Since Carroll's on Def, is this a shot at Nolan, Sporano or both? I take it as kinda a shot at Nolan.

Sprano. The guy was so frustrating. I still have knots on my forehead from banging it against the Table . He loved shopping at the Cowboys dump store and his play calling was always Run run Run Kick. God I am so glad he's gone. If I see the Tuna in Person I might just openhand smack him for that. angry smiley
