Looks like Payton Manning with his line calls. He's got the physical tools and the mental part is already WAY above a rookie. I am confident that we have a pro bowl QB for the next decade or so.

I'm not going to drink the Kool Aid just yet and declare him a future HOFER, but I am pleased with with his development so far & happy we drafted him.

It was a conservative game today. Great effort not to have him toss so many passes and risk a fool interception. He's learning, appears to be confident and this is all good. thumbs up

I'm with you Berk. There is no Kool aid to drink. He is what he is.... A future superstar.

The game looked a if he had a couple more weapons, we would have beat them by 20.

That's precisely what I've seen and been saying... Thill is way beyond any rookie NFL QB I've even seen in his poise and overall command of the game. Really IMPRESSIVE!

Add to that his amazing ability to grown week to week and you've got a ****STAR**** on the ascension.

Obviously there are some hurdles still but so far Ryan has exceeded my best hopes at this point. The kid is obviously a great athlete (unlike the Lady in NE) and is brilliant, competitive, hard-working, and seemingly 1000% dedicated to being a TOTAL PRO!

Yea. It's great to be excited. And ya know, the WHOLE TEAM knows they have a "superstar QB" emerging and they're excited as well! It's a huge deal for this franchise!

Been watching him close and live this off season and during the first few games. I'm no expert, but he is different from anyone we have had in a while. Very animated on the line, he is a LEADER in every sense of the word. His play action and roll outs are incredible to see in person. Amazing athleticisim. His throws are so much better then just 5 weeks ago. Now they are right out on front so the reciever can get YAC. Its like he was a .9mm Pistol and someone finally fixed his site. We finally got one guys. Took 10 yrs but we are Golden. smileys with beer

I pretty much agree with all of you on "The Kid's" improvement each week. He's very savvy and it shows. When he was named the starter, I was hopeful, like all of you, that he would be a real talent. He exudes confidence and leadership. He's making things happen.

The two overtime losses were helpful as a lesson learned. Expecting too, too much from RT will get the team into trouble as he will press too hard and make a rookie mistake. Balancing play relieves some of the pressure on on him and that we reduce costly turn overs.

I'm looking forward to the Rams game to see how he has grown this week.

I wonder when Gaffney will play? What number is he wearing?

He does show poise and confidence. Its been a long time where I could say that with any QB since Marino, and for the first time this year I have been watching. I would like a few more wins and we should have had them in the past 2 games, getting beat in OT is just unacceptable

Gaffney will be ready next week and he is wearing number 10.

Ryan Tannehill's records thus far....

second most single game yardage in history by a rookie

second-most passing yards in NFL history by a rookie in his team’s first five games.

first rookie in NFL history to pass for 1,250-plus yards and record at least two wins in his team’s first five games

Not records but...

He's thrown 19 passes of 20 or more yards. Only five QBs have thrown more this season.

Only 10 quarterbacks have thrown for more yards this season

yards per attempt (7.5) is the 13th highest in the NFL heading into week six.

While he really screwed himself with the fluke game vs Houston. It will take awhile to rebound from those terrible stats....TD/int ratio, QB rating etc.

His per game QB ratings are as follows....

1: 39
2: 91
3: 50
4: 86
5: 92

Pass completion over last two weeks....63% and 65%

Since we are talking stats, This is earth calling, Ryan Tannehill avg's 1 passing TD every 2.5 games... He must have opposing teams just horrified of that ability to put up points.lol..... At this avg he wouldnt even reach double digit passing TD's by season end...

Luck looks great so far, and I think RT is looking good too. Hopefully the matchup will get us some ESPN time.

That would be a first. I tevo NFL Live, NFL32 and NFL access everyday and all Miami gets is 10 second blurbs while they going into excruciating detail about Tim Tebow, Michael Vick, Peyton Manning and bountygate....everyday.

At least we get one primetime game against the mighty Bills this year. lol...unless they decide to change the flex schedule.

now HERE's an area where media respect makes a difference (to me)! More fans would get to see the games on TV if there was more of a media buzz re the Phins.

Watched NFL AM this past Monday morning to see what kind of highlights we'd get.

As the ticker moved down, finally I see Dolphins/Bengals. Cool, few more minutes I get to see highlights and hear what they're saying about us now.

We're third on the list when they cut to commercial so I finish getting ready for work.

Hear program come back on from the bedroom so I know I have a few minutes while they cover the next two topics.

Hearing another commercial, I go to living room wondering how I missed the highlights.

Rewind to watch highlight....NOTHING. We were completely eliminated from the list. No highlights! Mysteriously gone! Rewind back to where I left the room to make sure I hadn't lost my mind. Nope, it was there.

When they came out of the commercial break, our highlight segment had been changed to some insignificant story (NFL Update or some BS time filler).

WTF!!!! I sick of seeing stories about the jests on tv every night (even though they're stories about their struggles) while we actually have something going and get zero TV time! hot smiley

Win this week and things'll start to change...

Grace under pressure, huh? Reminds me of another QB we used to have...that's now in the HoF!

Something similar happened to me on my cable's on -demand section for nfl network. Had a list of games for the week and their highlights. The PHins CIN game was something like 6 minutes, the others were 10. It showed for six minutes and just stopped. Flippin ripoff!

Really? Do you really think he is not going to get better? Throw more TD's?

I can guarantee one thing. NFL defenses have more respect for him than you do.

Maybe he should change his name to Ryan Crowder.

The Fins have 9 rushing TDs, second best in the NFL. The 9 rushing TDs are more than double what 24 teams have for rushing TDs (24 teams have 4 or fewer). In the redzone, the Fins have been able to run the ball in, and they haven't had to lean on TD passes.

Peyton looks with a Henne QB rating.

Personally, I couldn't give a damn about how the man looks.

Peyton didn't have great numbers in his first 5 games.

After his 5th game he was 1-4 with 11 interceptions and only 3 TD. RT looks so much like I remember Manning looking in his start.

Yes I think he is getting better in alot of areas... I think he is still pretty raw in others... I just dont try and make him into something he is not, that is all... Alot of people here are so desperate for success at the position they want to make him into something his stats do not support yet IMO.. I root for him, I like him, I am just not blindly supporting the guy, he has positives going for him right now and negatives... I just dont ignore the negatives, it is not the type of person I am...It gets you no where when you aren't honest with yourself, and ultimately i am business minded person and that is extremely important... You build on the positives but never ignore the negatives.. Always try and focus on the negatives and turn them into a positive and then you got some real success... At first I pointed out his QBR was really bad, he has turned that around, and his QBR is much much better... When I brought up that his QBR was bad before, people tried to discredit the stat or how it is reached...Now that he is doing better with it, QBR is all people want to talk about... I bring up his low TD to interception ratio and people just want to make excuses for that now... I get it, some people around here crack me up... I am not a Tannehill basher, I am just not blind to it...
