Marvin Lewis just said in his conference call with the local media, that he was able to learn alot about Sean Smith from Hardknocks, his demeanor, how he lines up and plays, He said there were great isolation shots of how Sean Smith plays and defends on Hard Knocks and he showed his players and was able to gain alot from it..(paraphrased).....ouch...

There's nothing that watching a few random shots of Sean Smith running around with a WR at practice in the context of a dramatized tv show that would dramatically enlighten you to or expose about any "top secret" tendencies, style of play, or skill set, that watching any of the actual game film of him that's available to any and everyone who wants to study it wouldn't tell you.

I pray that he gameplans against Smith based on a tv show rather than live game tape!

I think it had to do with game tape, vs full isolation close ups in perfect lighting, broadcast quality of Sean SMith.... There is a difference for sure... Marvin Lewis wasnt trying to be a jerk about it, our media brought up Sean SMith and he said he was able to gain the most on him from Hard Knocks, so much so he showed his players the close up isolation shots saying this is how SMith is gonna play you......., It shows how he plays a WR and reacts from the POV of a WR...

What is more useful... looking at a limited amount of heavily edited video, or having a defensive coordinator who was their secondary coach last year?
