Im sure you would eat it happily just like me.....
I had my taste as well and im proud of eating it...
Before the draft i said tannehill was going to be the biggest bust ever...
Now that is a perfect example how how Ireland is building this team the right way. From the middle - out.
First start w/ both sides of the LOS. We now have a solid o-line and D-line, check.
Then, go QB, RBs, and LBs, SS, and FS through FAs or the Draft, check.
So now the last piece of the puzzle will be WRs and CBs. And that should be easily fillable in this coming off-season.
This is the first time in a long time that a Dolphin GM has implemented an obviously logical blueprint to build a winning team.
Anyone still second guessing the Tannehill pick??
Props to Ireland for a least approaching the construction process the right way!!
I had faith in Martin. Props to Ireland, woo hoo, now get rid of him the minute the season is over and get someone who REALLY knows how to draft to cash in all those high draft picks. If we play those cards right, we can become a contender as soon as next year.

My dear Southern California Brother, I was one of the FEW people on this board DEFENDING Ireland on the picks of Mike Pouncey, Jake Long AND Jonathan Martin.
I am one of the few on this board who believe that it is as important to get a great lineman, even in the first round, than it is to get one of the skilled positions (because everything is a gamble and skilled position high picks are the greatest gambles of all).
But I AM a hater of Ireland when it comes to his other moves like Nee Nee Na na, Daniel Thomas, etc., and countless other moves.
when you take a RB in the 2d round and trade up to get him, he should at least have special skills. Thomas is/was a plodder, not shifty, not instinctive. Puzzling pick when it was made and he's sure not shown much at all as a pro player. Most RBs are good right away or not at all.

I totally agree that there have been some misses along the way of building this team. But judging Ireland solely on the misses negates all of the great finds he has made including the HC Philbin.
Plus, he was forced to work with Sparano and Parcells for his first 2-3 years on the job, when he didnt have total control, ala Pat White.
How can anyone hold it against the guy who wanted to jettison Sparano for Harbaugh the second he became available, no matter who's feelings got hurt?? That what good GMs do. They're cold-blooded in their pursuit to build a winner. That's a good thing in my book!
Even the best GMs in the league have more than their fair share of misses too.
How easily you forget Ireland's predecessors, and all of the God awful drafts and FA picks they made. I haven't. Ireland is a breath of fresh air compared to the Bozos like Jimmy, Speilman, Saban, and Camoron. Those idiots did more collaborative damage than Ireland will ever come close to doing.
Coach Turner was spot on. he said we just need to put him in there and let him do it and he will be a great lineman. He was also right about Jerry....don't demote him as punishment....work his ass off. it worked.

I forgot about that. Turner is another great hire, seems like he knows how to develop guys. Looks like Pouncey is raising his game to another level as well.
