We lost because we turned the ball over twice in the 4th QTR and once in OT. This Ryan Tannehill-led offense seems to make just enough mistakes to lose the game. In Texas, he led several 3-and-outs before the offense self distructed with 3 turnovers just before the half. The same thing happened against Oakland, but it didn't matter, so wasn't discussed. Against the Jets and again this week, the offense gave the ball away late to lose games that we seemed to have well in hand. These are rookie mistakes that will be corrected, but I still believe that starting a rookie QB in these early games was a mistake.
We lost the game because the coaches called a passing play on a clear running down. We could've either run the clock down to the two minute warning or made az burn their time outs.
They called a run, lane missed a block, and the rest is history.
Get out of here with the rt hating. The dude carried this team today.

I think I will use that as my signature when my bet expires.

Its also why we almost WON. But your medical condition refuses to let yourself see the positives. Do us a favor and find a new board.
I dont see the QB losing this game for us. And only one of the picks was his fault(unless the rec ran the wrong route), he was hit from behind during the throw causing the lame pass in OT.
Looks to me that it was the pass defense(secondary), that had a much larger role in this loss than the QB.

Hartline slipped on the other Int, and it was a timing pattern...so Tannehill had to throw it before Hartline got there. Neither Int were on Tanny.
I've said all along Hartline and Bess are very good receivers. Bess cannot be covered.
Tannehill went away from Bess on several plays where Bess was wide open. That is Tannehills fault, he gets locked on a receiver and forces some throws....int!
Hartline was open a lot last few years with Henne, but Henne would not throw the ball.
Stupid call on 2nd and 2 late in the game too. the ole pitch back 5 yards play and lost 9. I was screaming WTF when i saw that play called.
Me too on the WTF. No way in that situation do you risk a pitch back. We were lucky it was not a fumble and turnover.
I tell you. This coaching is probably worse than Sparano.
As far as Tannehill getting locked on receivers, the ball is out of his hands so fast, I don't know whether you can say its locked.
The announcers were amazed at how fast he gets rid of the ball.
That's the same type of offense they ran when he was with the Aggies.
I think its just good defense anticipation...or lucky moves on the part of the defender because I think RT's passes come TOO FAST for someone to say he's locked on a receiver.
Talk about a hater. Philbin has this team ready to play, and in shape. He may not have a rookie year as good as Sparano's(I always thought that was a product of Pennington's quarterbacking anyway), but I'm betting on him in the long run. Just listening to him on podcasts, he inspires confidence.

RICK, we oughta give Philbin hell for dumbas_ decisions when he makes them PARTICULARLY in his first year.
If you're silent, you'll see these mistakes repeated OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN.
And he will justify those mistakes with the same lame excuses that I hear on this chatboard for blowing the field goal in the Jets overtime and the crucial sack fumble in the Arizona game.
ONce he catches enough fire for those choices, he is unlikely to repeat them anytime soon.
The best explanation I have heard is that he is trying to be the opposite of Conservative Sparano.
If that's true, it is time to let him know that there IS such a thing as going to far on the other end.
If not sucking up and forgiving mistakes you would laugh about if those mistakes were made by a competing coach is being a "hater" then I am guilty.
But I would venture that in the long run my criticisms of the coaching, if taken to heart by them, will do the team far more good than scratching your head and trying to come up with a way to defend every bad move.

",,.my criticisms of the coaching, if taken to heart by them,...
You guys who say, look at Elway and Aikman they were awful their first year so Tannehill will be fine is kind of foolish, if you think about it... I could line up 100 QB's who were awful in their first year that completely failed out of the NFL, and you can name 2 or 3 and therefore we should feel fine about Tannehill.... Do you guys see the irony in the argument and example you are making...
I am not saying Tannehill isnt going to be successful, after last weeks perfomance I am sure everybody is excited to see what the next week's and months hold.. But the example, doesnt make any sense... 2 or 3 percent of QB's who were awful in their rookie year during a 30 year time period went on to the HOF, so dont worry...lol...

.....errr.....you do know that Philbin has been criticized by others on various media for this very move (like he was for not cutting Nee Nee Na na) and you DO KNOW that when I said "my" criticisms, I did not mean that he was reading this board and looking at MY posts in particular....you do know that don't you...........well, maybe I'm giving you too much credit...maybe you don't.

Sorry Chy that I didnt do any research on one of your previous whiney threads to understand what the hell you're chryen about this time.
for all I know, judging from your posts, you could be the same "a$$#0!e" that asked Ireland to "fire himself" during halftime of the Raider game. Someone who would send endless emails to Ireland to impart words of "wisdom" that he just doesn't seem to heed.
You really lost me at:
"I tell you. This coaching is probably worse than Sparano".
You really come across as a clueless armchair QB/Coach who doesn't really know what your talking about with a limited football IQ, and who judges from hindsight.
Sorry, just my opinion based solely on your posts.
