I'm surprised DolphinKing didn't start this thread. Fact is, rankings don't mean a thing. It's wins and losses that count, and Tannehill has as many wins as Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, Peyton Manning, and Big Ben so far...not to mention Andrew Luck, RGIII, and Cam Newton. Oh, and he has MORE wins than Drew Brees and Brandon Weeden.

Cowder, what's your point? are you writing Tanny off as a bust already, ala Dolfanking? Are you just trying to temper the enthusiasm of the fan base? Are you trying to point this out to bolster the "Ireland has to go" chants? I mean what are you really trying to get at here?
That's about where a 52.9% completion ratio a 1/4 in/td will get you. Kid does not look that bad as a rookine and would still rather have him than at least 8 or 9 guys on that board.
I still like Tanny, he needs time to develop. Its his 3rd NFL game ever....give him time before calling him a bust. Heck with the BS ratings, lets see in a year or so where he stands.
I think that a lot of fans today are the "quarterback is the only player on the team" people.
Now OF THOSE FANS there are both people who support and don't support Tannehill.
Perhaps the people who support Tannehill took the second game and went too far in praise of him and the people who don't support Tannehill took the first and third game and want to call him a bust.
what I have been shown is a quarterback who has two things
........................flaws that need to be corrected and potential.
I have never called Ryan Tannehill a bust, I am just presenting factual Stats, not even opinions....

3 of his 4 ints were flukes (tipped at the LoS and caught by the D-Lineman or L. Only one of his ints was truly a bad throw, and even that required a risk by the CB. If Tanny pump fakes instead then throws, that CB bites and the WR is wide open. He'll learn these things.

Once again , please show me where I called Tannehill a bust, or are you just talking shit? The facts remain, Tannehill has the worst QBR and TD to interception ratio in the entire NFL... Just facts, dont attack me for presenting them, they are reality and no ones opinion...

Tipped balls, fine, but having all 3 intercepted at the LoS...that's a fluke. When can you say you've seen that happen before?

DO you know that more then half of Tannehill's interceptions last year at Texas A&M came from tipped balls at the line... in fact 8 of his 15 int's in 2011 were from the same problem tipped balls.. Not a fluke......

Monte you dont see it happen very often like that, because a QB should correct the issues, before he allows multiple tipped balls to allow the other team to take over the game..

Tanny isn't doing that bad of a job. Marino he 'ain't, and he never will be, but if he can just become the QB the Fins have been searching for forever, then he is OK in my book.
This is his rookie year, he needs time. Remember, he doesn't have that much experience to come in with. He is a natural QB and will get better as the season progresses.
Next year he (should) show what he is made of, especially if he gets some help at the WR position. Cripes, Miami still doesn't know who their #3 is. That's a real shame. Give Tanney some help and I'm sure his numbers will go up, along with a few more "Ws".

He did correct the issue. It hasn't happened in 2 subsequent games. Those 3 Ints came in his first NFL game as a Day 1 starting rookie against a team that could very well be in the Superbowl this year. Geez...what do you expect?

3 in one game? Has that happened to him before?
Also...it hasn't happened since. What do you have to say about that?

I get enjoyment from the Jets or Pats shortcomings myself

You are correct that some people do that, but I'm not necessarily saying everyone or anyone is currently doing that with Tannehill--most everyone who criticizes his play is saying he has potential and is headed in the right direction...just that he isn't there 'yet.' Fair enough IMO.
Were you on this board when Fiedler was QB? oh my GOD. Every time he didn't win a game (and often times, even when he *did* win) a group of posters seemed to get physically aroused, judging from their posts on Monday mornings. They celebrated every less-than stellar performance by him and the team. It was a pathetic, nonstop stream of OMG HE STINKS WE STINK I KNEW IT I TOLD YOU SO over and over again. As you said, they were more concerned with being right about predicting Fiedler wouldn't be productive against (insert opponent of the week here)'s defense, than they were about the team winning the damn game.
Tannehill isn't being "Fiedler'ed" yet on this board, and I hope that never happens.
Your exactly right JC, I dont think Tannehill is a bust at this point, I dont think anyone can be a bust after 3 games. I think he has potential, is very raw, and has a ways to go. I dont think he is as ready as some people seem to think. TO say we are ok because 30 years ago, a HOF QB had the worst QB rating his rookie year, so we are fine, is kind of funny logic to me.. I could say more players with the worst QBrating in the league failed then succeeded that is for sur, lol, but critical thinking isnt important, just excuses. I dont want to make excuses, great players lead, granted some later then others...
For some to suggest I am happy when Miami loses is ludicrous... I am just honest about the facts, and in reality all I did in this subject was post facts initally..
TO suggest I enjoy seeing the DOlphins lose because i point out stats that obviously arent exactly helping us win?... WE have a strong defense and strong running game... We should be winning with a little bit better QB play IMO. Especially when it comes to putting points on the board when the defense gives us a short fields... Carpenters kicks dont change the play of the team this week one way or the other...
I also think Philbin not communicating to the defense he was going to ice the kicker was a mistake..
I want to win, and the sooner these issues get fixed the better. But denying that we have these issues to solve doesnt help anything IMO.

Well no one is saying Tannehill doesn't have issues. Your problem, which is not saying that its your fault, is that you are on the same side of the issue as DK, who, regardless of how much he denies it, really is constantly posting that Tannehill sucks and is a bust.
I don't think ANYBODY on this board is satisfied with RT's performance at this point but that is not the same thing as saying that they are all disappointed with that performance. You really can't be "disappointed" that a rookie makes rookie mistakes unless your expectations were too high in the first place.

Your problem,
I know you know better then to think i have any problem, I am a big boy. Dont mind communicating, and it would take one hell of a sketchy situation for me to be intimidated into thinking because people disagree with me I have a problem, it surely isnt going to happen on the internet...lol cheers Chyren The only guy that intimidates me on this board is you Chyren actually... I dont have the endurance and the focus of subject and details as you. I have seen you put out full thesis's to back up your opinion...lol

Aha. But you've even misinterpreted the phrase "your problem is" as saying that you DO HAVE a problem. It doesn't. Read it again.
What I said is that your only problem is that you are on the same side of the issue as a jerk, DolfanKing, and whatever that jerk says has been UNFAIRLY attributed to you also because people have a tendency to assume that all people on one side of an issue are making the same arguments.

I don't think he's used that terminology either, literally or implied.
I believe DK wants RT to do well, he's just saying he hasn't done great things so far...in his own way. But he can speak for himself (and will!)
