And obvioulsly you have nothing to say about THE MAN RYAN TANNEHILL....

HEY he hasn't thrown an int in the last 6 quarters. And hes thrown almost 70 passes in those 6 quarters. Good ratio.

Dolfanking your tagline is beginning to make more sense now right?

Right now he is managing the offense well. He is playing extremely conservative. He is also improving somewhat in that there aren't any tipped passes. I liked the deep out he threw to Hartline in the fourth qtr, after the Raiders had essentially given up.

But I haven't seen anything extraordinary about "THE MAN RYAN TANNEHILL". Pat Delvin could have won that game. Heck, Henne could have that game.

6 Quarters of no INT football makes him better than John Beck. eye rolling smiley

The problem with john beck was nerves.. It seemed he had butter all up on his hands.

Ryan Tannehill is way beyond this galaxy better than john beck.

Right now Tannehill reminds me a lot of Henne or Fiedler. Both were good game managers, both had high completion %. Both had a lot of trouble passing for TDs in the red zone. And if they got behind by more than one score, they just weren't up to the task.

It's nice that a rookie with only 2 games under his belt can manage games, but - as we saw last week - when he is pressured to start making plays he can get into trouble fast.

When the team is trailing by no more than three for the entire game, there is a lot less pressure on the QB than say down by two scores against a team the defense has trouble stopping.

I want to see Ryan Tannehill lead a come from behind victory in the 4th QTR before I start agreeing with your assessments of A+ play.

Congratulations. You win the award for worst QB scouting ever. RT is light years ahead of Henne even if you compare Henne in his 5th year to RT with 2 games under his belt.

If you can't see "it" you probably never will.

Me too...And that would be something that henne never did. He peed in his pants when we were down by 5 points and we had the ball and there were about 3 minutes left in the game.

Agree. But until he does this, he is no better than Henne.

Wow you are delusional.

Henne's first season as a starter he was 7-6 with a 75+ QB rating.

Right now RT is 1-1 with a 62.5 QB rating.

How is RT "light years" ahead of anyone. He isn't even "light years" ahead of Cleo Lemon...

Oh I see, Henne gets all the credit for going a whopping 7-6 (as a team effert) but RT gets none for playing with lesser WR's around him. It's all Reggie right? Henne had 12 TD's and 14 ints. Most of which were game ending bad throws. Not tipped passes.

Anyone can see RT has more talent than Henne. Higher intelligence, better accuracy, more mobile....has the 'it" factor. Something Henne will never have.

Henne had better WR? Like who? CC was traded that year, so no not a lot of "better" WRs.

Besides, I'm not saying Henne was better, I'm saying RT right now is on par with Henne. Big difference...

In your haste to start a flame war and accuse me of bashing Henne, you seem to have missed the point.

This remains to be seen. So far RT had one good game and one horrible game.

I seem to remember Henne having a great game against the Jets his first year and then losing because Baby T was an idiot.

That was early, and a lot of people were on the Henne bandwagon then.

Point is, it is too early to make an assessment of RT. I want to see him make big throws in pressure situations before I start anointing him anything special.

I will say, we saw some marked progress since last week. If this rate continues, then by the end of the season he will be one of the better QBs in the league. But if his development stalls, he very well could be another Henne.

Its like DejaVu all over again.

Except that Marino was throwing the ball into the endzone against a scary Raider defense on Monday Night, while RT was just trying to get a first down against a defense that quit during one of the early Sunday games.

But its obvious. They are the same person. Marino and Tannehill that is.

You gotta bold or italicize that "same person" Dolfanking, otherwise it will go over BNF's head.

Ooooh, but I may be providing evidence that we ARE the same person.

Manning threw 3 interceptions in the first quarter of the game tonight. And none of them were tips. I guess what Tannehill did was not so bad in retrospect.

At least he is showing way better talent than henne ever did in his career....And he is not afraid to get hit either.

Henne on the other hand was yellow.

No, SamSam. Let's not put Henne down so far that we actually contradict history.

Shaking off the pass rushers was Henne's best feature.

He was big and strong and shook off tacklers more than any modern QB I have seen. Of course, he then took off running and probably then made the team's most productive yardage.

His problem was that he threw the ball so hard, it would bounce of the hands of the receivers.

The complaint was that he "lacked touch."

I'm not going to go into my wildcat rant again, I've said it too often.

LOL.....Because the receivers stunk......He did throw 15 foot passes way too hard though i agree. There are times when you are supposed to throw the ball different ways. Henne was lost and tannehill is not lost.

Oh I agree that Tannehill is the better QB, for some of the reasons I describe about Henne above.

One other big difference between Tannehill and Henne-- Henne had a couple of years to prove himself, and Tannehill has had two games. Trying to make comparisons is pointless. What we know is that Henne wasn't a franchise QB. Whether or not Tannehill is will be determined down the road.
