Koa Misi a new man under Coyle?

Last year Koa Misi, had 34 tackles all season in his 3-4 position. In one game in his new position he had 11 tackles...A third of his season total from last year.. Lets hope he continues to thrive under this new system and position..But so far quite a difference in his numbers..

Misi's tackles...

after Foster 5 yd run
after Tate 8 yd pass
after Foster 7 yd run
after Foster 3 yd run
after Foster 2 yd run
after Tate 7 yd pass
after Foster 4 yd run
Tate no gain (.5 tackle)
James Casey 17 yard pass
Foster loss of 4 yards
after Foster 2 yd run

So...two TFL's and a few short yardage stops. He's definitely active but I heard people say he struggled in coverage. Looks like he did a bit. All in all a pretty decent performance.

So far he's not playing like Japanese soup.

He could be good if he plays a lot better.

eesti- all Linebackers struggle in coverage,on sunday, Burnett had some issues with it so did Dansby, other times they were on it..You are not going to find a good linebacker who is a consistent pass coverage guy..

I agree what LB can stay not with even a receiver but with a RB?

None.

Maybe with a fullback!

Did you see the move bush put on cushing on a screen to get a first down ?......... Not even close

the only LBs consistently good in coverage play in zone heavy schemes, it is too much to ask a LB to run with RB and these new faster TE's from play to play in tight man coverage.

Expecting Misi to cover a nifty RB is a joke. That's a scheme "issue" IMO. That or we need much swifter (read lighter and smaller) LB's to run in a pass happy league.

The Lady in NE will tear this D to pieces if we're expecting our LB's to cover... We'd be better playing 6 DB's and hoping we can hold the running game down with our DL and a ILB.

Do we have 6 DB's?
