One other difference-- our rookie QB threw 3 INTs and Cleveland's threw 4.

There is a waffle house right down the road from the Dolphins practice facility in Davie on Davie Road right across from the Pyramid..

Neal Preart is not even close to the best drummer of all time....you could make a strong case for greatest rock drummer however. And for those who may not think so after that comment...I really like the guy, he's very, very, talented and is one of my great drumming infuences. He's the main reason why I wanted to be a drummer.

This, from a huge early 1984 to middle period 1994, rush fan (and a drummer BTW) from the begining all the way to Grace Under Pressure...after that they lost their way and haven't had a really good studio album, IMHO. Crossroads was pretty good though, even if it was all covers.

When Geddy Lee said the following quote way back in 1999 I knew the band was finished;

"We don't think of ourselves as musicians in the musical sense, we think of ourselves as musicians in the lyrical sense."

It's hard to argue with the strength of a career that encomases 24 gold records, 14 platinum records (3 of which were multiplatinum). They are akso in the top 3 all time for most consecutive gold albums and over 40 million album sales.

John Bonham is the best drummer of all time and I am not even a a big led zepplin fan...I have drummers I like better but Bonham was a stud on drums.

What about the voice of Geddy Lee? How did it get so high? I wonder if he speaks like an ordinary guy?

Rolling Stone Magazines "Best drummers of all time" Bonham finished first and Keith Moon finished second... They were both ahead of their time...However, The drum solo by Santana's 19 year old drummer in the woodstock film is probably the most phenomenal solo ever captured on film of all time... Of all the bands I would say I am a bigger fan of the who..

LOL TIMES TWO.

It was kinda tongue in cheek. My nephew is now 47.

But in his younger days I was walking with him and someone approached and he smiled and said, "Yeah, Beastie Boys." I asked, "Who is that?"

So you guy ain't that far behind Gramps, berk.

You guys need to listen to some modern Rush. Peart is probably the best drummer still alive. Buddy Rich was probably the best ever. Peart took lessons from Rich a few years ago, and he's just unreal now.

Bohnam was strong as hell, and he had the best foot (bass drum) ever...but he wasn't as good, overall, as Peart. Moon was sloppy.

And what about Stuart Copeland? Omar Hakim? Manu Kache? Carl Palmer? Picking the best-ever is completely subjective.

You are right Chyren, I saw Beastie boys in 1987 Together Forever Tour with Run DMC and Public Enemy, so you are right, I was only 13 though.
... that is what is great about this site, we all are very different in ages, professions, beliefs, but we all enjoy talking football here...pretty cool....

Keith Moon. Period. The only other drummer that should be in consideration is Lars Ulrich.

Bonham rocked, but was a coke freak that just slammed the drums hard. He was lucky he had Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones to bail him out when things got soft. I like what he could do, but there was no metering, just full throttle all the time.

Neal Pert has lots of things to hit on his kit, but lacks soul. Few bands are more precise and calculating as Rush. Too bad precise and calculating rock music sucks. But if I want to hear the exact same Drum Solo I heard at the Hollywood Sportatorium in 1984, I can go to a Rush concert today. Boring as hell.

Beasties and DMC. The king of rock, there is no higher, those sucka MCs all call me sire. That was when rap music was at its best.

I'll just stick to talking football. It's not worth discussing music on this board. Maybe my opinions are different because I'm a musician, and I've played with some really good ones.

Not necessarily a fan, but I can appreciate them. I had a girlfriend who was a huge Pavement fan, and so I had to listen from time to time. Not bad stuff, but I like the band way more than the vocals - a little too off key for my taste. Still better than Geddy Lee, and I have to admit he wrote some great one liners.

My race car had number 2112 on it because I liked that Rush album so much.

You know Geddy Lee? prove it by getting me backstage passes, a seat on the tour bus, and for heaven's sake private bass lessons from him!
