Is it me or does this seem like a bad high school program? A bunch of yes men with no player evaluation skills trying to make it look like they know what they are doing. This is whats wrong with most businesses, nobody with cajones enough to stand up and say , "Thats a bad deal" or "We get picks?, with our track record is that really a good deal?"

Not that Vonte has really stood out, but sometimes the devil you know is better than the devil you don't know.

Ireland drops in and says "The rumors are true, you've been traded," pack it up quick a storm is coming!

Is Daniel Thomas next? Dansby and Bush have probably already quit and are wanting out.

Do you think Ireland can swing a deal for Dez Bryant!grinning smiley

Fireland. Tonight's Hard Knocks was painful.

Personally, I came away very impressed with Ireland and Philbin. From decisions on Marshall to Davis they have consistently revealed large cajones. I didn't want to loose Davis, but considering his issues and the value we received, it was a good trade.

More nonsense. Philbin obviously didn't want that type of player here. Saying he has no balls after the moves he has made this season is ridiculous.

What type of player, jerk. Show me how Vontae has been a Brandon Marshall?????

Do you just HATE ATHLETES???

Why do you spend your time watching them.?

Yeah, Vontae may have been dogging it. He may even have shown up at the camp drunk. He performs under what he bills himself.

Does that make him the kind of guy you trade? Hell, yes!

Does that make him the kind of guy you villify? Hell No!

Ireland is a dummy. If you think he's brilliant, you're a dummy too.

Philbin I like. Ireland is a dummy. As John Lennon said in the movie "A Hard Day's Night" about a supposed female star that she was "a drag, a known drag." Ireland is a "dummy, a known dummy."

There was one VERY telling moment in the episode that explained everything. Ireland is speaking to someone off-camera, presumably Philbin, and says "If he's in our long-term plan, I won't even consider trading him."

Obviously Davis was not.

Ireland is simply trading guys that we don't want around when the smoke settles, as opposed to just letting them walk.

I'm more impressed with Ireland after seeing Hardknocks, some of you guys will hate anything/everything he does, I get it......but that doesn't mean we all have to.
Now he just has to produce some players that develop and stick around for more then one contract. Hopefully last April's draft is a good start.

i can live with him trading players for picks---I can't live with what he does with those picks when is drafting. if we had a competent GM making the picks I'd feel pretty good about or long term prospects. But we don't so I don't

Eesti, as for your quotes of JC about personal insults, Mr. Kettle, remember you started your quote with "MORE nonsense."

I wonder from whom the "more" nonsense to which you referred came.

Just like you to accuse someone of something of which you are guilty yourself. Even if in the same quote.

Did it ever occur to you that had you not started your post with that insult, you would not have been subjected to the same thing you subject every other poster with the overwhelming majority of posts when you disagree with someone. Like Michael Jackson said, "Start with the man in the mirror" eesti.

It was a not too thinly veiled insult and that what veiled insults do. They allow the maker deniability.

The "jerk" being because you indicated that my views were "more nonsense." I've said Ireland is an idiot. And you have said worse of some of our players, past, though it may be.

So saying if you agree with Ireland's mindset, it must be because you're an idiot too is not insulting any INDIVIDUAL POSTER. If the shoe fits wear it is not a personal insult.

Why don't you take it, eesti as you continue in your role as the most nasty to other posters (as well as to our players) poster on this board.

At any level a key part of building a successful program are talent evaluation and gaining player respect and trust, to get many players today motivated to play for you, something I am not sure Ireland & Philbin are accomplishing, and actually going in the wrong direction when your key players are questioning decisions and micromanaging players.

You always have players that may not fit, but we seem to be making decisons without enough review. Releasing Chad when we have no receivers?

On the surface, a second and 6th for Vontae doesn't seem bad, but if you look at Ireland's draft and free agent track record, you have to devalue these picks

You have an issue WITH ME! And you start every post you post when you disagree with the author of the post with a nasty insult. Not just me. Everyone because you are simply a nasty person.

Then you wanted to jump on

Typical eesti. If anyone agrees with anyone who DISAGREES WITH YOU then they are just trying to play up to that person.

Could it be because that second person remembered what a jerk you were to him and that is why you get a negative response. You are a typical school yard bully. You bully and then you whine and try to call in the teacher when you get it back. That's what you are doing now.

Now who's trying to CO-OPT dolfanking. LOL. And just a few paragraphs after you called him someone guilty of "constant negativity and
bashing of this team."

I'm sure DolfanKing will come to your defense as I beat up, BULLY.

You got it wrong as usual, eesti, the bully.....or the wanna be bully. He was the one that freaked out, resigned from being a moderator and changed his name. I think that was the "meltdown."

Oh, so I starting following the Miami Dolphins in the fall of 1967 when even yo daddy was a twinkle in Yo grandpappy's eye and YOU ARE THE TRUE DOLPHIN FAN AND I'M NOT JUST BECAUSE I THINK IRELAND IS AN IDIOT.

Eesti you object to being called dumb yet you use such warped logic.

You yourself have damn near bashed every player on this team. Does that make YOU, eesti NOT an "actual Miami Dolphin Fan."

Oh that's right you DIDN'T INCLUDE THE PLAYERS IN THE LOYALTY OATH YOU QUOTED ABOVE.

You're so ridiculous. Did you really think no one would notice that you left off the players when you started with the owner and went down the list to the STAFF?????

LOL. You can criticize the player and still be a true Dolphin fan but DON'T CRITICIZE THE SECRETARIES OR JANITORS.

Yeah, you'll run just like you always did on the schoolyard. Unless it's the case that you are just a pimply faced kid going to high school who, in fact, gets bullied and comes on this board to find his courage.

It's pretty plain and simple with Ireland, the last two drafts and next Aprils are his defining moments with this team AND his future in the NFL really, and it's way too early to tell on either draft if it was good or not, but things are looking up as I see it. Other then that, he's done more good then bad for this team since Parcells has left IMO. Don't get me wrong, if they would of fired him with Sparano I wouldn't of lost any sleep over it either, but I just don't think he's as bad as everyone makes him out to be.

Thomas, Gates Clay? All ?'s Even Pouncey aint no Dwight Stephenson for a high pick

Odrick, Misi Jerry?

All mediocre at this time

I like what I see with Smith, but he has sucked to date

I can't believe I'm spending time on this silliness, but here goes:

Originally, when I read the "jerk" line above, I thought Chyren meant something along the lines of:

"what type of player, a jerk for a player"---meaning, I thought Chyren was calling the PLAYER a jerk. I guess I was wrong about that, seeing as he apparently acknowledged he was referring to you, eesti. "Jerk" doesn't begin to approach some of the other insults that have flown around here in the past (and were the inspiration for my post that was quoted), BUT it's still derogatory. So Chyren, don't call people jerks anymore, even if it goes right over my head. As an attorney, you are articulate enough to convey your disagreements without calling people names, even if they aren't really, really bad names.

If I realized that you called him a jerk at the onset, I may well have deleted the post.

-----------------

More silliness "dummy" is even less offensive than "jerk". One is running out of time on a parking meter, the other is jaywalking at an empty intersection. Neither a big deal, but AGAIN both against the rules. So. Chyren...please don't call someone (even conditionally) a dummy.

Now for heaven's sake, I don't want anyone on here to call anyone else a "Silly Person" because then I'll have to find another minor violation of the law to use as an analogy, and I've already used up Jaywalking and Expired Parking Meters. Oh I know---maybe Tearing Off That Tag On A Mattress That Says "DO NOT REMOVE UNDER PENALTY OF LAW"

eesti is right on this one. Saying a POST is "nonsense" is not the same as insulting to the individual (even if they take it as an insult).

GOOD: Your post is full of nonsense and here's why: <insert civil explanation here>

BAD: You're a Doodie-Head.

Neither of the above is exactly what has transpired here, but you get the idea. Hopefully you do.

The above is my interpretation of Curt's rules. When the season starts I won't be spending much, if any time explaining this any further.

Now the title of this thread is EXTREMELY accurate. This whole thing is embarrassing. And over.
