Robert Griffin hell now I know why are fans don't care because if they think some Pat White clone it just as good or better than Andrew freaking Luck then really we all need to stop rooting for this team because we don't live in reality. Griffin will suck in the pro's while Luck will lead his team to many victories ala Peyton Manning.
With this hollywood league the QB is a must, but you bring up a very interesting point reppa...what is the threshold where we would give up Luck (if we had the #1 pick)?
Would it be 3 first rounders plus 3 second rounders plus two probowlers?
I think that would be my threshold, although I think we would end up regretting it - Big passing QBs are mandated by this league.

YUP luck cant block he cant tackle and cant cover but he can pass the heck out of the rock.....And thats the main thing thats been keeping us from getting to the playoffs.
Remember weve had great defenses that could cover and tackle but didnt had a qb worth shit since marino left...
So you want to keep tacling and covering and blocking.....without a great QB and offense...Go on then.
We'd be stuck in 8-8 land and no playoffs for the rest of our lives.
I'm sorry to sound so harsh, but you're lucky that you're not sitting in front of us all in person right now, because if you were, we'd be chasing you down the street.

I think we have plenty of talent on the team we just don't have a good staff.
we brought in bush, traded for marshall, drafted clay and yet we are in max protect every passing play because the line stinks. i say spread em out and give the line one on one assignments. sure, we'll get blitzed once in a while but who cares. we invite 7 man fronts with our formations. why don't we dictate what the d does.
same for the other side of the ball. who cares if we give up a big play playing zone? man up on the outside, keep jones deep like he's supposed to be and send extra rushers at the qb.
if we were to get luck we'd need to spend more picks and fa money to revamp the oline once again.
Ok forget about RG3... i am saying with all of the draft picks you could get for this guy i am sorry but if you have a choice of drafting one player or getting a ricky williams or tony dorsett type deal where a franchise is willing to give you almost all of there draft picks for this year and next you are telling me that you would pass on that??? say what you want im taking the draft picks. since the same experts that are saying that luck is the best qb since elway also thought jarmacus russell was the best thing since slice bread lol... the fact is NO ONE knows how a guy will transition to the pro's and the only sure thing about the draft is how many draft picks you have, gimme the picks we gotta get one of them right
Nope . Its time to get a centerpiece to build this team around. The Tom Brdy era will be over soon and I want the Dolphins to have the next best QB in the NFL. I want a goddamn championship. No.....we went the route of great recievers, Lineman, Runningbacks, you can have the fastest car in the world, but if you don't have the right person driving it, its usless.
Your the only one on this board who would take Griffin over Luck so let's hope the new regimes dosen't hire you for anything talent evaluating related me thinks. If Griffin was as good wouldn't the pundits on espn and other places be telling us that he should go 1st, and not Luck? Do you know why their no saying this? It's because they albeit somtimes live in reality as opposed to others on this board who are in La La land
But if we end up with the worst record we are still going to pick #1 in each round therefore we will be able to pick some really good talent at the top of each round...
And we dont have to give a bunch of picks to move up to the first slot
we gonna earn that...trust me
Hopefully manning comes back strong next year.....
Better yet i hope we end up with a worst record than the colts because i doubt they will pass on luck.
Manning is getting old.
He still has quite a few years left though barrying another injury.

um nooo.... i am saying luck has all of this impossible hype like his name is lebron james and if people are going to hype him up then I would rather trade him to a guy like you since you are willing to give up the farm for him.
look at the chargers, they have done that several time, they had the top pick in 2001 and vick was supposed to be the next superman so they took a bunch of picks from atlanta and got tomlinson and drew brees and again in 2004 they had the top pick and eli manning (oohhhh he is peyton's brother i must have him he is god) and they got picks from the giants and got rivers, merriman, nate kaeding, michael turner, shaun phillips. Point is why was the chargers looked at as having the best team from like 2004-2009 although they never won the superbowl? because of those trades... that is my point, this game is not about individuals but rather the collective and no one man is worth as much as people would give up for luck.
So to simplify (since people are not understanding me) if I had a choice between luck or a bunch if first, second and third round picks over the next two years to build a dynasty for the next 6-8 years i would suck to deal luck...

RE: I agree that we have talent on this team but we do need to solve the puzzle on the O-Line. The problem we face with speading out the offense is that we simply don't have a group of receivers that gets open quickly and a Tight End that was a threat.

RE: Yes but we have to do that anyway...I say IF we are in the position we take Luck #1
2nd- RT, TE, or WR
3rd- TE, LB, or S
4th- RG or LG
5th- BPA
6th- BPA
7th- BPA
In FA we nab the best RG out there even if we have to overpay to get him and tray to upgrade depth in as many positions as we can.
I'd be fine with Luck, Henne, Moore and Devlin going into mini camps...best player plays.
I'd even be OK with running a variation of the West Coast Offense...because it's friendly to QB's...in any case our
We do have the dbs to cover. if they man up on the outside and send pressure it makes their job easier. you're dictating where the ball goes on the hot read.
i'd rather take a chance to get burnt rather than giving them 8-10yds a pop underneath our horrible zone d.
fasano's played well when he hasn't had to protect colombo. spread it out. it dictates what the d will do. get them in base personnel and go up tempo.
I was listening to mike and mike in the morning last week and they were saying what a unique year this if you could get the #1 pick (before the colts officially got it)
They were saying that you could sell off the rights to luck for a kings ransom (3 first rounders, 2 second rounders, and a boat load of other high draft picks) and then move back up and get RG3. They had another expert that said he think griffin will have the better career. I thought this was rather unique/interesting use of luck just curious what you guys thought?
Hey aqua i noticed that although this post is in october your edits are recent (december). I recall your comments being all negative now they are all positive. That is weird did you change them???

Yeah I was thinking the same thing, i think calvin was the year before so we just missed him. i think another problem was when we had the #1 pick we were 1-15 and everyone knew that we were despirate to move back because we didnt have a second round pick. Also there was no hyped players.

&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&
The year we picked Ronnie Brown #2, Aaron Rodgers was supposed to go to us, but we passed...and he slid about 20 spots.
