Everything I read prognosticating the makeup of the final 53 has Legedu Naanee as a "lock". What has this guy done to be accorded this lofty position? According to some reports I read when we signed this guy, he was one of the worst WR's in the league last year. Pundits say they have been looking for this guy to break down in practice in some way, but haven't seen it, so they sing his praises. Well, we're past the second practice game, and I can't recall Naanee catching a single ball. Did I miss something? Has he been impressive in games, and I didn't notice? If he's that good, and can help us, then by all means he should make the team. WR's are supposed to catch the ball, though. So he's had good practices. Big Deal. Can he do it in a game? I haven't seen it.
Devon Bess is a bad reciever? I admit the List from there gets shaky but Wallace and Hogan have shown some true potenial. Clay at times as well. As said , with a Named starter , now they can all work on chemistry and timing.
Supposedly Bess and Naanee have been the most consistent and best recievers in training camp.... Bess hasnt done much in the preseason games either... Hartline, who is supposedly our third, hasnt done anything in practice or preseason games, I would be more concerned about him then Nanee....

Thats what the Pre season is For. They KNOW Bess can catch. he is just trying to get in game shape. They will be throwing to others more to see who can and who can't.
I understand why you say that, but we know that, if healthy, Bess is a very good receiver and Hartline is pretty good, too. We know this because of the body of work they have turned in with this team. Naanee has no body of work with this team at all, and his body of work with other teams is, at best, suspect.
