The Dolphins unofficially named rookie QB Tannehill the starting QB during practice today.

Gave him every snap in practice with first teamers.

And isnt this the dress rehersal for the regular seasons first game. Isnt the 3rd game where they actually game plan.
If he does well in this game he will be the starter in the regular season.
Am I correct? Isnt the 4th game, where they play all the third teamers etc....Most of the game.?

In 1967, John Stofa started the season opener, but hurt his ankle after 2 pass attempts and 2 rushes, and Bob Griese replaced him, throwing 2 TDs that day. So, Griese didn't start that game, but as it turned out, he was the main guy before it was over.
1. I'd sure like to see him get some wide receiver support!
2. The defense needs to get their butts in gear! They are the Biggest dissappointment for me so far.
- Maybe they will click better when Dansby and Wake get back in.

We really need a WR pickup after cut downs....someone like Louis Murphy from Carolina. it won't be too hard to improve on Naanee (from what I've seen from him so far...which is NOTHING.

He has done a good job so far in not turning the ball over but he made just a few throws that could have been picked. As many times as he got sacked he did a great job holding on to the ball.
If these are the only knocks on your rookie QB then you're not doing too bad.
Philbin and RT have been used to running a quick strike offense that heavily depends on the first option. They are going to have to either 1) get a helluva lot higher caliber core of receivers 2) elevate Hogan to first team 3) change their scheme or 4) have their fans expect these type of results more often than not.
