Gotta love Chris Hogan. Catches everything and is always open. Great nickname from Reggie Bush too. 7-11, cause he's open 24/7.

Gotta think there is a spot for a guy like that. My new favorite underdog to root for....

Go back and look at my wish list for wide receiver and you will see that I had a "hunch" this guy would make the team.

Maybe you mean he will be a receiver who comes from relative anonymity to find success. However, he is nothing like Welker in terms of stature and athletism. He is 4 inches taller, 35 lbs heavier and faster than Welker. Besides, I think Bess already is the next Welker.

Not until we let him go to NE and he leads the league in receiving several years in a row. Maybe with RT we can utilize skills better.

We won't cut him the kid can run a legit 4.4, and seems to be able to get open on all routes. How do you cut that productivity?

LOL. Obviously that's a very common 40 time and I just happen to run that fast to the poddy from me living room in me 1200 sq ft condo!

Regretfully me 3 cone urination time is much slower...

That's not productivity, that's potential. In terms of actual productivity, Hogan has caught a total of 12 passes in game competition since he left high school. He is very inexperienced at WR, and even more so when you consider at what level those 12 catches happened. I am sure he still has a lot to learn about the WR position.

It made for nice TV on Hard Knocks, but is he getting open against Sean Smith, Richard Marshall, and Vontae Davis? Or is he getting open against Vincent Agnew, Marcus Brown, and Trenton Hughes? If he is only in preseason games when Pat Devlin is at QB, then he's really not in the running for a roster spot. We will have to see what happens with that as the preseason moves on.

What is Hogan doing on special teams? The #6 WR needs to be a guy who contributes on special teams. So, that's something to watch for in the preseason, too.

And one unfortunate aspect of Hard Knocks showcasing him like this is that it may make it more difficult to sneak him through waivers to the practice squad.

Hogan said the hardest players to get open against were Richard Marshall and Jimmy Wilson so he must be at least playing against them.

I was thinking the same thing about being difficult to sneak him through waivers.
