Jeff Ireland has now swung the bat twice concerning Prima Donna Receivers, Brandon Marshall and Chad Johnson. Will he swing for strike three towards Plaxico Burress (who spent two years in prison on federal gun charges), or will he just let it ride and see what we have in current receivers on the roster. If he does swing and strikes out with Burress what would happen to him as the Dolphns General Manager? Would this be the end of him?
Well, if we don't go for Burress here's the list of UFA receivers that are still available and have not been cut this year by other teams for one or more reasons. This is the list as of 8/12/2012.
Greg Camarillo
Michael Clayton
Mark Clayton
Patrick Crayton
Anthony Gonzalez
T.J. Houshmandzadeh
Kasim Osgood
David Anderson
Jerheme Urban

Keep an eye on who the Packers cut, I think Jones is the odd man out in GB, he could be a nice addition to the young group we already have. I doubt we go after Plax.
It's been rumored that Ireland was never on board with the acquisition of Marshall. It's been said that it was Parcells' desire to have an "alpha receiver."
As for Chad Johnson, he signed a minimum deal, of which he received no money (guys don't get paid until the regular season), so I don't know that this really counts as a strike. It's not like we risked anything.

Yep, he made the Pro-Bowl 2007, 2008, 2010 for special teams play as well.
I like him and Greg Camarillo, who is a known entity and caught well for us across the middle of the field. In 2009 he didn't drop a single pass thrown to him.

I don't either but if he does, I don't think there is a chance in hell that Ireland gets fired, strike three or no. The owner trusts him to the end of time.

Not to mention having Terrell Owens rammed down his throat by the owner while he was in Dallas.

You have to realize eesti, some people will say the GM Ireland has nothing to do with every bad move this organization has ever made through these weird, I heard statements, it is just in their nature I guess... I heard Parcells pushed buttons on Ireland and forced him to sign Ocho.. see how easy it is..smh...
