Horrific to even think about going through that. Was that his second son to pass, or was it court troubles before?

Yeah his other son sadly is an addict. Time for Reid to stop coaching and address his family . Sad beyond words.

both his sons had troubles with the law. the one who just died was jailed for heroin. the other one was also arrested, the same day as the first, I think. I wouldn't be surprised if it comes out that drugs had something to do with this death. very unusual for someone 29 to die of natural causes like that.

It has to be hard to balance a family and a 14 hour a day job. Doesn't leave much time for anything else.

First Tony Dungy and the death of his son here in Tampa and now this...not a good trend.

Thats why I respect jimmy Johnson. He didn't leave for another Team or a bunch of money, he quit after his parents died and he realized how much he had been missing with his family. He choose his family first and thats always the right choice.

if he died of an OD, it will be in the news. Same as if he didn't. The news is coming, either way. I think everyone expects drugs, given his age and background. Heroin is very hard to quit.

Wasnt he over 21 years old....?

you cannot control every move a kid over 21 year old makes. At least not all of them.

But he should had suspected something.

Ive never been around a person that uses heroin but i suspect a person that uses heroin doesnt act ok all the time. Just my 2 cents.

Believe it.

There is absolutely no way to stop illegal drugs in a society with so much disposable income, so much free time on their hands and with such an addiction to being entertained all the time WITHOUT seriously infringing on people's constitutional rights.

I say legalize it. Regulate it like you do alcohol but if people want to use that stuff they will inevitably create a market that someone will provide a product for.

Better it's regulated and taxed than that money gets shipped oversees.

I know how to stop drug traficking.

Apply the death sentence to anyone who uses illegal drugs.

You get caught with even pot....Death penalty no questions asked.

1 or 2 executions and people will think twice about using illegal narcotics.

SamSam, it the middle ages in England, the punishment for pickpocketing was death by public hanging.

Huge crowds attended those public hangings to see the pickpockets get hung.

Those huge crowds also attracted.......guess what.....pickpockets. Ha! Ha! So even witnessing someone else being hung for pickpocketing did not deter pickpocketing.

You know why?

Because the pickpockets had the choice between either getting hung or seeing themselves and their families starve to death.

People on drugs are hooked. It is, at that point, a biological dependency. If the death penalty is not a deterrent to pickpocketing, I doubt it would be a deterrent to someone being compelled by a biological dependency.

So treat the biological dependency. Cure that. Then save your harsh punishment for people still trying to sell drugs to the few rich kids who don't want to go into the government program.

Guys before i even read your posts.....My whole point which you probably didnt understand is that if we are talking common sense it is impossible
to stop drug traffic.....IMHO.

I know the death penalty is way out of line here......not even close guys...but my point was that if you tell people the worst punishment is going to be applied if you use or sell drugs then maybe they think about it twice before using it and risking the lifes of others driving under the influense etc.

how about if you get caught driving while intoxicated with pot you get 5 years in prison.....no questions asked.

Because what are they doing about it....?

500 dollar bail bond and you are off the hook....?????

What i meant was make it tougher on them. Make tougher laws...

I know its unhuman to take someones life other than a mass murderer that truly deserves it.

Even like that i think a human shouldnt take another humans life...Which is whats happening with the executions....life without parole would be an even worst sentense.

Because there cant be anything worse than to spend the rest your life locked in a room.

We are not talking about starving to death here chren....We are talking about drugs....And yes i know what you mean.....exactly....

And why are they hooked?

I will answer that because they chose to be hooked.

I have been through everything in life and ive never chose drugs as an escape to my problems.

they were sober once...they knew what they were doing.....

BTW you can live without drugs because iam prove of that.......Ive never ever used them Honest....And ive been around it many times.

But you cannot live with out food.

2 different things chren.

And again i know what you mean they are hooked ......to them drugs is like food....But they chose to be hooked.

PS. When you eat and drive you do not risk the lives of others....But when you use pot or any other kind of drugs and drive then we have a problem because they are risking the lives of everyone. ( just an example.

Give everyone that gets caught at least 5 years without parole...and then at least there may be less kids using pot or other drugs.

My wifes aunts son....got caought under the influense of marijuana and alcohol. She hired a lawyer and i think she had to pay 5 grand and comunity service or something like that...i dont know exactly how it went....

Which is way too easy sentense...I think they canseled his license for 3 years i believe...

Still 2 easy of a sentence....
