I think most everybody realizes that and that is why it is so funny. However, I bet most don't realize that originally it meant something different of which I am sure Jones is actually referring to. In alluvial gold mining, a glory hole refers to an eroded out depression in old river beds or those formed at the base of ancient waterfalls. Gold, being 18 times heavier than water, sinks to the bottom of these depressions near bedrock. This concave geometry is known to be ideal for concentrations of gold and these types of deposits are always in strong demand.

Chyren, I have never used that term to describe a woman's anatomy...although it is glorious.

I have always known it as a cut out hole in a wall in to which sexual favors are performed.

Okay. I guess the world is not as naive as we in law enforcement think.

It's a construction term too. During Boston's "Big Dig" project (a massive over-budget tunnel), there were several portal-type gateways leading to the underground construction area. They may have been emergency/fire exits too. They were labeled "Glory Hole #42" and so forth, the signs being visible from the commuter rail leading into the train station in town.

Of course, the construction workers may have also been advertising some ways to have fun with each, other, but I'm *pretty* sure there is a mining/construction connotation.

Having said that...WTF was Jerry Jones thinking...was he drunk again?

(now keep this thread clean fellas!)

It's all those things (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glory_hole), but it's still funny!!!
