This is a moderated phorum for the CIVILIZED discussion of the Miami Dolphins. In this phorum, there are rules and moderators to make sure you abide by the rules. The moderators for this phorum are JC and Colonel.
In an effort to prevent spammers from joining the list and posting spam messages before being banned, I've turned on moderating of new users.
From now on, when a person registers for a new account, I get a message asking me to approve or disapprove them. That allows me to run a cursory check on them to see if they're a real fan or just a spammer. Right now, new user requests are only running 1 or 2 a day, so it's not a burden for me to do a quick search on their email and/or requested userid to see if they are spammers.
Hopefully, this will cut down on spamming.
Go Dolphins!

I still think there should be some remedial dolphins knowledge test to root out potential spammers. like, what was the dolphins record during the perfect season, or who were the marks brothers? I doubt the spammer would know, or take the time to google the info and respond. plus it would probably root out thunder's latest incarnation.

True, the spammers do not appear so often as to become a pain in the butt but they do come often enough that it would be good not to have to see post about jewelry every three months or so.

OH Oh I know. During the perfect season, the dolphins didn't lose ANY games.
And, the Marks brothers were Groucho, Harpo, Chico, Zeppo. They had another brother, Gummo, who wasn't part of the act but was a successful businessman on his own.
Now, how's about you all buy some fake Uggs from me?

Remember goganmiami1stunner............I truly believe that if you asked him WHAT COLOR IS Jason Taylors white horse?
He would think about it for a few minutes before answering.

In a related question, can one of the moderators or curt please look into the ridiculously high number of adware tracking cookies one get when using Phins.com.
Not sure if its phins.com, or links but I see the sites that I remove later thru spyware for:
doubleclick.com , burstnet.com, tribalfusion.com, media6.com, etc about 40 of them I have to clean out whenever I use phns.com forums or newswire.
keep it free please. I haven't noticed any adware or anything, but then I have a mac so maybe I wouldn't.
I do notice that the backbutton doesn't always work, which I think has something to do with burstmedia blocking it

I'm not sure the pay site would get much use, except maybe from a handful of people already on the board. There are free tools out there that block ads, and if it's between free or pay...people will undoubtedly choose free.

Because we're on to you!
But seriously, it's one of the anti-flood measures put in place, and it happens when anyone makes two or more posts shortly after one another.
It happens to anyone who does this (it has happened to me also, even though I can't type very fast).
I get notified when it happens, and when it's a legitimate post (which yours was), I approve it (which I did with yours).

Oh sorry, I blocked that post because the prices were so great, I borrowed my mom's credit card and bought everything on that site. moderator's privilege, you know. My mom's going to have a great christmas present this year!
