His throwing finger got injured and the coach wanted to see some snaps on the sidelines. After seeing the snaps, coach decides to bench him. Vince Young gets mad and throws his helmut in the stands.
Now to me, that's the kind of lack of control and anger I don't mind. He's a competitor. Talk is that they don't want him anymore.
Sometimes a change of scenery is all a QB needs but if we are talking Vince Young I just feel he's not good enough to give up draft picks for. He's a good QB but I'd rather just keep the draft picks, that's how you build a good team in the NFL.
Now if it was Matt Ryan we were giving up picks for now that's a different story....

I know......the trade went through on Madden so why not right?
I'm not too good at assessing value in NFL trades but if you can tell me a realistic scenario where we could trade up and draft Luck I would really love to hear it.
first off, he's going to be the #1 overall pick. now, I don't know what the new CBA is going to look like, but under the current one, if you've been paying attention, NO ONE wants the #1 overall pick because of the huge amount of $ you need to pay for an unproven product. so there's that.
second, to trade up to #1 from about 12-15 which is where we reasonably should end up, would take our first this year, a second--we don't have one--and multiple other picks, likely a first next year. So we'd be looking at this years first, this years 3d (giving us no 2d and 3d) and next year's #1 most likely, and maybe something else like a 4th next year.
so we'd be getting an unproven rookie QB as our only draft pick this year before the 4th round, and have no 1st next year. no thanks. this team has so many holes it's not a rookie QB away from fixing them.
so dolfan1 unless you have another way to get luck, please stop posting this in every thread.

ME AGAIN: OMG!!!!!! I'm flashing back on Vince EVANS. That was 30 years ago! Alzheimers has claimed me. Still, I could run this team better than the present management.

RESPONSE: But that's only a blind squirrel. What if he is blind and CRAZY AND DUMB?

RESPONSE: Good players are irrelevant when the drafters have no ability to see them as such.

RESPONSE: So you still believe....reminds me of a Ricky Nelson song called "Poor little fool."

Response: Funny, of all the motley crew, I blame Sparano the least and I think he has the least to say about anything that happens on the field.
Then I let him decide if henne is the

RESPONSE: No way should we take a quarterback any higher than the 5th round. Particularly not with this crew doing the picking.

RESPONSE: He was pretty durable at Texas. Maybe he's just hit a bad patch.

NOTE TO THE OWNERSHIP: Ignore PhinFans2 and trust me. Believe me when I say you are incompetent. Give up any notion of being able to think for yourself and surrender to my will.
How about we trade Brandon Marshall for like a 1st and 3rd rounder or even 2 2nd rounders, and draft us a couple decent recievers who will actually compliment henne instead of getting us delay of game penalties every time he makes a reception
"It's been fun to get the reaction of visiting coaches to the color of their locker room. Most don't notice it, but those that do are in trouble. . . . When I talk to an opposing coach before a game and he mentions the pink walls, I know I've got him. I can't recall a coach who has stirred up a fuss about the color and then beat us.” Hayden Fry
