of course I remember it. ginn had a 50 yard end around for a TD the first drive of that game. Thigpen looked good, and as I've been saying forever, put up really incredible numbers that year for KC on a horrible team, which no one ever talks about. more tds than ints and a ton of yards for a rookie? that never happens, as we well know as dolphins fans (john beck anyone)?
Yes, I remember the game and I always wondered what Thigpen did behind the scenes to get himself replaced in KC...if anything. I always thought that he deserved a shot to be the starter after that season and still think he got a raw deal.
I hope he does well for us...if so it'll push Henne and maybe open up the competition for the position in the eyes of the coaches.
Thats a win win situation for the team and ensures that we have two young players pushing each other to perform better every time they step on the field.
Truth, i thought they were fools to go invest to much money in a position that with thigpen playing so well was not a high need position. Infact I would and back then would have taken thiggy over castle...
