I dont think these guys help sell tickets... Hurricane do well in the NFL, go look up how many players they have in NFL right now... We got good insight this year on them, Dolphins coaches hosted hurricans player this year predraft in a proday/workout, with just our coaches.

that's how New orleans used him.

Although I was expecting a WR in round 4, Miller was a good pick that I'm happy with. This kid is fast.

so let's get mcnutt in the 5th
oamr kelly actually made a decent point that our OL scheme now requires pulling and the only one on our team who can do that it pouncy. so a pulling G may actually be our biggest need.
I will be pretty upset if in the deepest WR draft in memory we end up with zero. reminds me of the hernandez/gronk TE draft---big time deep TE draft, had big need, ended up with none and it ended up haunting us

I say trade up if you need to but get the best WR avail

How about one of the Marvins'...McNutt or Jones or another Hurricane....Tommy Streeter.

Juron Crider or Greg Childs are a couple more.

There is definitely still some talent out there.

streeter to me is like vernon. great measurables but never did anything on the field. I much prefer mcnutt. if streeter is there in the 6th, then ok

Still hoping for Marv Jones. Would be ok with McNutt, too.

Our coaches know McNutt very well. Our new WR coach was his offensive coordinator in college.

I think you also have to consider the Sherman influence and maybe Jeff Fuller is on our board, too.

There are quite a few good WRs still remaining.

What is Ireland thinking here? Who is available in FA?

Not me. Wouldn't contribute this season. Too raw.

Fair enough, but that doesn't bother me.

Its the 5th round of the draft. Immediate starters are few and far between from here on out.

I can wait a year or two for him to develop. Question for me is not who has biggest impact this year but who has the better career?

there are some WRs we could take now. if we lose out on mcnutt for a freaking extra 7th i will be pissed. stupid move. this is ireland trying to act smart. I doubt we even got value per the draft board

interesting thing about the previous trade down for a 7th is that now we have the ammo to move up for a 2nd 5th rounder if it works out that way.

We could package our #6 and 2x #7 and get back into the bottom end of the 5th if they see 2 WR's they like at this point. Take one @#20 and the second around #25 or so...

Just a theory...

The pick is worth something though, this team has a lot of needs. Also, I don't know how much difference there really is between the next 5-6 guys on the board for WR.

Rokevious Watkins - great name.

The best name in the draft however is "Vontaze". It is the burfect name for a linebacker.

Our pick is coming up five slots from now. Should be a good WR available. I doubt Ireland takes one though. I forsee a defensive position.
