didnt see that one coming... alot of local hype about this guy, predraft.. He is really fast ,fast... I think at the combine he even ran a 4.40 flat. And they talk about him as faster then that..

We are looking for an up-tempo offense where we dictate the pace and run upwards of 90+ plays a game.

We still need atleast 1 WR though. I say 2 though.

I like Miller alot.

I think he runs hard for a guy his size, and doesnt shy from contact.

Like the idea of teaming him with Daniel Thomas.

BPA for sure...was a second round talent.

Think about some of the matchup problems we can create this year with Bush, Miller, Gates, Egnew...

Things headed in the right direction.

I've seen miller a lot and he is the real deal. we are going BPA and getting great value in martin and miller. I can't really fault this. there is not star WR left, anyone we could get in the 4th we can get the equiv in the 5th. no complaints. tv analysts loving the pick too

TO give you an idea, Scout has three players we drafted so far ranked in the top 39 players available in the entire draft and two ranked in the top 25.. I wanted 2 of the top 25, and I got them...

Jonathan Martin- the highest ranked at 8
Ryan Tannehill- 23
Lamar Miller- 39

Good value picks. We are keeping a few Hurricanes too so that might be nice for local fans to see, Crowder?

Anyone hear what we gave SF to move up? Was it one of the 6ths?

I like Miller, but trading up isn't really a BPA strategy, it seems more like a get the guy they want strategy. I think they probably had the deal with SF in place if he fell to that pick.

still bpa. we moved up a few spots to get a low first/high second round guy in the 4th

we still have our high 5th. I say we move back into 4th and get mcnutt or toon.

yes and no, hurricanes and gators are very divisive in this town.. Hence Gator day at Dolphins stadium, I dont mind it.. Miller has alot of local Hype Rosenhaus is his agent of course, and has gotten him alot of attention.. But I am Gator and i like the picks, the Hurricanes, while they havent been very good for a while, they always churn out alot of NFL talent.. As much as any college team

Looks like we gave up the 6th we got from New Orleans to move up for Miller and kept the one we got in our trade down yesterday.

You know what, though!? I just thought of something that Philbin said about a month ago. He mentioned that he envisioned Reggie Bush playing WR alot in his offense,

if that is the case, then the Miller pick makes much more sense.

it was our 103, our 196 6th rd and a 6th rd next year to San Fran to draft Miller at 99

Reggie is like a Glorified Reciever. They wanted/needed a Power Back. Thmas is hurt/has butterfingers.

Given the history of this franchise drafting Hurricanes, I was shocked that we actually draft TWO of them (so far).

Now, did Ireland draft them because they are good players or because the organization needs to sell tickets?

The negatives on him are his shoulder injury and that he doesn't have good balance.

I like Miller, tho.

Cripes, Miller better start for the Fins this season then.

How can Miami give up so much, but then the trade with SD was so poor for Miami?
