Not for the Super Bowl when every sponsor sends hundreds of people to that game. They sit in the seats the regular folks sit in. And they got wet.....really wet that game and weren't happy

One way or another it is coming out of your pocket! Taxes or Tickets one or the other is going UP.

I like it. Now Im sure they will make the thing somewhat hurrican durable/safe considering the area. But the Marlins are leaving soon. And the ony way for this franchise to compete financially with the other teams in this league in the "new-NFL" that is almost upon us is to bring in more revenue. And losing the Marlins rent they need to replace and bring more events to Dolphins Stadium. The roof could bring more and new events to the stadium which means more $$$$ in the pocket of Stephen Ross

Dolphin stadium can be a really hot place on those sunny days with no breeze.

That has got to be the ugliest roof plan I can think of.

Arizona Cardinals have the best stadium. A state of the art cooling system and roof.

At first I really liked it, but now I am thinking about how the sun can be an advantage. I presume that the majority of the field will not be covered, so that may help keep most of the sun.

Is this the beginning of seeing the home uniforms more?

Yeah, I hated the old Texas stadium. It sucked on TV. Either the team we too bright or too dark.

A roof would make the stadium comfortable, for fans....and for the visiting opponents.

Does anybody out there care about actually winning games anymore? The heat is an advantage to us at home...or should I say, "was" an advantage.

Oh well, they'd already all but stopped the 1:00 starting times anyway for home games, so our home-field advantage due to the weather was drastically reduced this year already.

In the name of Joe Robbie, who build that stadium with no taxpayer money, it'd be great if they got corporate sponsorship to pay for this.

Whatever they have to do to ensure the viability of the statium and it's resulting revinue is good to me. I also think making the stadium more comfortable for the fans is a great thing...the field will remain open to the elements so the advantage of weather will still be there...somewhat.

Did they say seats would be added closer to the field? That would help the homefield advantage.

Yeah, they would be able to put the seats closer to the field.

It should be noted that this design is a PARTIAL ROOF.

It looks like the field will still be hot at mid-day. I'm sure the stadium lights will still be on at daytime blanking out any harsh shadow effect that would occur later in the afternoon.
