We've got a QB that is 6'4", fast, mobile, SMART, and can play a little Wide Receiver while he's getting ready to play.

Let's get Coby Fleener or Courtney Upshaw in the second round.

Agree, except I highly doubt he will play any WR. He is going to be hit very heavy with the QB position and besides, why take the chance of injury with the WR position?

ANY playmaker in the 2nd is fine with me; I don't care what position.

Finnally someone with some sense around here. There are others though with some sense as well.

We got tannehill now lets hope for the best.

What else is there to do.

Unless you a envious jet fan. Stuck in the middle of sanches and tbow dilema...get them a couple of boxing gloves and whoever wins the QB job in New York.

Which doesnt matter anyways because they both stink! smiling smiley

Not to say that he will play WR as a starter but he can play in spots like in a 3 WR set or even on occasion as one of two. He did great as a WR in college.

But if you object to even playing him occasionally at WR, then how is he going to get the experience to play QB (even in the pre-season).

Because, as I'm sure you'll admit, QB is a far more injury prone position than WR.

LOL. The rules prevent you from even breathing hard on Wide Receivers. The only shot you have is the jam at the line of scrimmage. After that it's only the blow delivered at the catch and it better not be that high.

LOL. That is because we need help everywhere but kicker and punter.

The only way RT will play WR is if we run a HB pass and Reggie Bush throws to him.

I'm a bit confused about all this WR talk, etc. Gimmick QBs do nothing in the NFL, long term. We had the wildcat, and each successive game it was utilized, it gained less yards, until those yards were negative.

My question: Can this QB throw the rock? Right now, the jury is out on that question, and we won't know for at least a year.

Simple, DK. Tannehill played WR while he was at Texas A & M and was the second-string QB who succeeded to the QB position after that QB graduated. No gimmick. He was a helluva WR.

We got rid of BM and so far, we haven't drafted a WR although this has been tauted as one of the deepest WR draft in memory.

Exactly. It makes perfect sense in such a deep draft not to jump at the first guy you see. If the ratings of all the WRs in the draft are fairly close together, you want to wait as long as you can to take one.

That question applies to every qb drafted every year.

Can they throw the rock in the NFL?

The question on tannehill wasn't whether he could throw it, it is can he throw it at the right time , decision making is his weakness. I guess we felt you can teach this, you can't teach athletic ability. Give him some weapons that can get separation at this leevel and even moore could be a top notch QB
