Did Ireland give away a Big Hint for #8 pick?

When asked if the #8 pick would have an impact this year, Jeff Ireland's response was ....

"Well I hope, BUT, the vision of what that pick will be is more important"

Hmmmm....

I think he tipped his hand, in that if Tannehill is still there at #8, he's taking him.
I seriously doubt he'll trade up to ensure Tennehill, and will take who is at the top of thier board at #8, or trade back to pick up extra picks.
I'm good with Tannehill at #8. If he's not there, I'm good with OL, DE, WR, or whatever glaring hole we need to fill with the BPA.

CAN'T WAIT!!!

I'm starting to get a gut feeling he's not drafting Tannehill, nothing to back that up, just a feeling.

I have had that same gut feeling for about 3 weeks now. It's wierd.

Look for Russell Wilson in the 3rd round. I think we are going to fill holes before drafting a qb and I am good with that.

I'm no draftnik, but i'm pretty sure Russell Wilson in rnd 3 would be a huge reach, no?

Yeah, I am a Russell Wilson fan, but most think he will go no earlier than the 5th. I agree with that as well, 5th or 6th.

I like Wilson alot because he can make all the throws and played in a WC offense in NCState. The only thing keeping him from going in the 1st rnd is his 5'11" frame.
Compare him to Drew Breeze but he can run.

Drewe Brees is 5'11"

Russell Wilson is being pushed down because he isn't really great at anything. He has a good arm, good accuracy, good football IQ but he just isn't elite at anything. Plus his 5'11" frame will make it more difficult.
