But who's to say one of next years qb's will be the highest rated qb on your board when we pick next year?

No it does not you are reading but not comprehending or just stick to straight football and drop your metaphors since you put so much weight on that side of the scale. I have always said I do not mind if we pick Tannehill at 8. I have always said that Tannehill is not my personal choice. THe G from Stanford, DeCastro is. I also like the DE from S. C. Personally I think the 8 spot is too much of a reach for Tannehill and do not want to give up draft picks to get him.

That was obvious to me and everyone else on the first reading, Mizzou.

But you are dealing with someone who believes that if you want something, there is no price TOO BIG for you to pay.

That is precisely why...........................

As much as i hate to say it i think we are not going to be very good next year truth.......................IMHO we are going to pick even higher next year. And this is painfull to say.

3 relevant "Truth" quotes for your considerations. Especially useful in a forum environment.

1. There are only two mistakes one can make along the road to truth; not going all the way, and not starting.
Buddha

2. In a controversy the instant we feel anger we have already ceased striving for the truth, and have begun striving for ourselves.
Buddha

3. Men occasionally stumble over the truth, but most of them pick themselves up and hurry off as if nothing had happened.
Winston Churchill

How about trading back a few spots? Then Miami will have 5 picks in the top 50.

Chyren, Miami will not draft an inside offensive lineman (DeCastro) with their 8th pick. If they trade back and he is there, then they could possibly get him.

That was THE Truth that mentioned DeCastro, Captkoi, but You're right. I like him too.

The only problem I see with that, Sam, is that at 8, the "best" players are no longer available. Granted, there will be some really good players there, but not "best" players.

As for Tanney, look at it this way. The best players are gone, so the remaining "best" player at a position that Miami needs (and could be a franchise guy) would be the QB they haven't had since Danny boy, and that would be Tanney.

If they go another way, so be it. But Miami has to fix that QB position and they may never be in another position to grab a possible franchise guy.

You two might wanna re-do the math, as it stands right now, we don't have 4 picks in the top 50.

while we are fighting over the scraps of the draft at 8 let's all remember those wonderous wins over the likes of buff and was etc at the end of the year that so many on here wanted more than life itself. we'd be looking at a different caliber of player (or a means to a trade up for RG3) without those

Omar is an idiot. BUt yes, he is right.

I also follow him. Most of his tweets are asinine and half the guys on this board could do a better job of following the Dolphins than he does.

berkeley I am beginning to think that you and a few others here are insufferable humorless old men. I think Omar is one of the few S Fl sporswriters that have a clue. Definately better than anythone at the Herald minus Ed Pope and the Sentinal.
