I saw him play twice and you are right the first name that came to my head was Tony Romo. I would not like Tony Romo as my starting qb. I agree he is better than anyone on our current roster. I still do not like him.

wow mizzou your a beast with this college thing. I like that, i wish more people watched alot of college football. I most enjoy discussing draft prospects. Nice post...

However i have noooo problem with romo, i always draft him as my starting qb in fantasy. Great value since you can get a 300+yard guy in the 7-10 round smiling smiley

The question on this kid seems to be arm strength. But he's a nice athlete and obviously was productive and made plays. He'd be a great value @R5 IMO but I wouldn't cry if we invest a 4th.

He's a developmental kid that needs additional arm strength and work but he’s a decent looking prospect for sure. If we don’t go QB high in the draft then we play with what we have and draft a kid (or 2) like this and build baby build!

yeah what i like is we would still have a top 10 pick to get a blue chip player in a top heavy draft... What you said about harnish is exactly what is being said about tannehill, he needs to sit and develop, questions on accuracy and likely cant come in to start day 1... If that is the case why not get a guy that can play and contribute now and then get a qb like harnish or wilson later in the draft.

Personally i dont think it makes sense to use a #8 draft pick on a guy that is "potentially" the 3rd best player at his position when we can get a guy who is "potentially" the #1 player at a different position...

I agree with the LOGIC above and vote for the biggest IMPACT player in R1 (regardless of trade-down or not, and I think we might get a really good offer to move down but that's just speculation).

I still think certifed Lady killer DE/OLB and OT are spots of glaring need --- and with the right player = immediately make this team better. DE/OLB rates above RT so most likely that's our #1 choice UNLESS there's an alternative in Ireland's & Co's mind.

The Tom Brady that WILL make the Hall of Fame is the Tom Brady that stands back flat footed and picks apart ANY defense.

The Tom Brady THAT WAS AND DESERVED TO BE ONLY SELECTED IN THE 6TH ROUND is the Tom Brady that you STILL SEE TO THIS DAY when he is under a tremendous pass rush. He falls apart.

I have no problem with us picking a guy like Harnish in the 6th round as long as we take Tannehill at #8.

This would provide us with Moore starting, Gerrard (for one season) as a his backup, Tannehill as the #3 and Harnish on the practice squad. We'd also have the wildcard of Devlin in the mix who MIGHT be able to unseat Gerrard for the backup job depending on what he does in camp and how the coaches view him.

Then after the season we have set up a quality competition for the starters job. We would also have a lot of potential, talent, and youth at the position.

Tannehill at 8 is a reach by a desperate team, Trade down and picks up players and take Tannehill, Weeden, Cousins, Harnish, Osweiler later. Harnish, even Russell Wilson would be great 4-7 and could be a steal

Again,

There is some heavy steam picking up that we may move up to #3 to get Tannehill.

I dont see it, but Insiders like McShay, Kiper, and especially Adam Schefter are all reporting this to be widely possible and even speculated amongst league circles.

RE: The problem here is IF you want Tannehill then you have to take him early. He won't be there outside of the top ten picks. As far as the other guys are concerned a trade down would certainly work.

Tannehill at 3 is the living example of the definition of the word "frenzy."

In a frenzy, there is no reason.

I like Russell Wilson more than Harnish. Wilson would be rated MUCH higher if not for his height. And height is not that important in the WCO. I would love for us to take a flier on Wilson and wouldn't be upset to use a 3rd or 4th rounder on him if we don't take a QB in the first two rounds. I think Wilson can be Brees lite.

I think Russell Wilson is going to be a top tier QB in this league. Could be the steal of this draft.

the entire league thinks we are marks so is feeding "info" to mcshay, schefter, etc about needing to move up to 3 to get tannehill and our interest in doing so. Pathetic. We better not fall for it.

I agree Aqua. Did you see him on Gruden's QB camp? Very impressive. Osweiler was not impressive, seems like a douche. Kellen Moore came off very intelligent but he just doesn't have the physical tools. No athleticism, average arm strength, and his release just isn't quick.

I'm sure he'll prove me wrong. I'm not a fan.

I watch him play and all I see is Ray Lucas at Rutgers.

Excellent athlete, solid arm....questionable accuracy.

Yes I know he had a very high completion % this year after 3 years below 60%, but I just can't get excited about him, even when watching his highlight tape. Too many completions to guys open by several yards... too many of those off target.

I'm an ACC fan, watched him play, I considered him the best QB in the conference when he played, over guys like Christian Ponder.

I wasn't a big Ponder fan either.

the only QB's in last years draft I Liked were Newton, Mallett and Dalton.

And even with Mallett I said I'd either trade up to #1 for him or I wouldn't draft him at all based on his off the field stuff.

I think there may be a spot in the league for Wilson. He has some tools, but he's small and his accuracy bothers me. I think his upside is David Garrard. But I still see Ray Lucas when I watch him.

Maybe that means he'll be wearing a Dolphin uniform...spinning smiley sticking its tongue out

Now,

I dont think he is going to come straight in the league and tear it up.

But, I think if he gets on a good team with a a good QB, in 3-4 years, after sitting and learning, could be a good QB in this league.

But thats my opinion, and I may very well be absolutely wrong on that.

No worries. You said "top tier" originally.

I took that to mean elite.

The kids got some tools so he has a shot. I wouldn't be upset with him ending up here later in the draft.
