We are in best position when it comes to Tannehill, nobody knows him better than Sherman, if we take him at 8, happy days, if Browns take him at 4, there'll be an elite player for us to either take or to use to trade down. Win/ win!
I agree and I'd further caution , that Sherman might have urged to pass on him at 8 as well. No way to know. I still remember that draft when I thought Quinn was a shoe in and we went with the Ginn family. Then Last year we passed on Mallet. I'm not holding my breath anymore that we are taking a QB in the first round.
Precisely, Treasure! People on this board who are now threatening those of us who don't want Tannehill with a switchblade were also screaming the same way about trading for Flynn until it was obvious that Philbin was not so enthusiastic. What will these people say when Sherman, who coached him in college, is part of a team that ends up passing on him?
Of course, these same people will not be able to be found three years from now if Tannehill is a bust.
Even if they will admit it, they will petition to ban ChyrenB from the board because he just keeps teasing them about Tannehill.
Get a life, ChyrenB!
Let it go, ChyrenB!
We didn't say all that, ChyrenB. We just said he was someone we should think about.
I'll be honest, he intrigues me. I believe he has the physical tools and the intelligence to make it, having said that, I take most comfort in the fact that Sherman knows him better than anyone & will know whether he's worth the #8 pick

Chyren, you're not that nameless guy from the Jets that slammed Sanchez some time back, are you? <g> Just kidding. But....I don't recall anyone on this board becoming violent and threatening you with bodily harm because of Tannehill. Same with Flynn.
I agree Phinvincible, Mike Sherman already got fired once because of him, it will be telling if he is willing to risk get fired again with the same guy at the helm but much better defenses...
